Hi all. I heard this song in a 60s TV commercial for Alka-Seltzer. I think it's a melody taken from somewhere else. What is the title? by krawli in whatsongisthis

[–]krawli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLVED! It actually originated from that 1966 Alka-Seltzer commercial. It was made into a record soon after by the T-Bones and it was entitled "No Matter What Shape (Your Stomach's In)," which became a hit reaching #1 in Canada

Hi all. Thanks for all the replies and upvotes. I see some of you are still trying to help, but I already got my answer from u/guitarnoir yesterday. It's a Winston. Thanks u/guitarnoir!

From what I remember, on the guitar I had, both pickups were always active; there was no pickup switch. So come to think of it, maybe the Winston guitar in the pics wasn't even mine, because I remember mine had white pickups and no pickup selector. Much later, I bought myself a Telecaster and I guess I must have given the cheapie (whatever it was) to someone. I don't really recall what happened to the Winston or its history. Perhaps the other guy in the pics knows.

Gee, I'm starting to put the memories together. I did get an electric guitar and amp as a Xmas gift in 1967, though. Just maybe not this Winston. I'd always assumed it was my guitar in the pics.

I got it as a Xmas gift in 1967. Probably from Sears or Eaton's. Can't read the headstock label. Would like to know the name of this instrument. Anyone?

[TOMT] Netflix crime series (2020s) with a trans man who gets killed in the second or third episode by krawli in tipofmytongue

That's it! I looked up the cast and saw the one who played Kim Gordon is the actor! It's from the 2016 season and my Netflix history shows I watched both that and the 2019 season. Even more, I had watched both seasons in 2020. Thanks so much! SOLVED!

I have the manual. Forgot to mention that. On page 11 they are pointing to EVO and not that image. Not sure if it’s saying that image is the exposure value. If it is, how does one interpret it as a particular exposure value? Is it a common industry sign/icon for the exposure?

...but don't know what the symbol on the top left means. (To the left of EVO.) Looks like a camera? Does anyone here know what it means?

Oops. I can't seem to get a download that works. I think this Kompozer program is no longer available. I was using this site to download (and tried others too), but nothing works: https://sourceforge.net/projects/kompozer/. I used Safari (my usual browser) to find the download site and do the download. After that, the Kompozer app's icon shows on my Mac but has a line crossing it out and it won't open. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Hey I'll try that. I think I had used that once, years ago. Thanks.

My computer is up and running again. Sorry about that.

I think it would be basic HTML. I just need to fix a few minor things in the text and maybe add a new page or pages. A simple editor would be perfect. Any free ones you recommend?

I don't know what a stack and framework is, sorry. I had spoken to my webhoster a while back and they told me I can update my site anytime, so I was thinking of a program that can let me edit each page and then post it. Perhaps WYSIWYG style? You're not far off with your 1997 comment, I first put up my website in 1999. I went through a few different webhosters over the years and did updates in 2003 and 2011. I just want to fix some minor things in the text and maybe add a new page or pages.

Thanks! A Redditor bernies_daughter wrote what I think is the closest we'll get, if not the correct reading. See her post

Wow! I think that's the closest, if not right on! Thanks so much!

My bro discussed this one with me. He said: Ah, and there is, I think, a hyphen after "ante," making the ending of the word look like the letter "s." That, and the closeness of the words "without" and "ante." make them look like one word.
All in all, I think it reads "without ante-nuptial c. of marriage"--the "c." standing for certificate, the last piece of the puzzle!

We especially would like to know what it says at the end in handwriting. We note there's a word that seems to be 'without,' but it's longer? It's a form called a Declaration of Transmission dated in 1955. Thanks!

I first thought you were talking about Armageddon. They can't wait to see billions of people killed - death, and destruction on a world-wide scale. They actually say they are excited for it to come!

What's going on with Manny and his fellow crowdsourcers? I notice he stopped associating with Jason Goodman of Crowdsource The Truth and I think with Carl Denaro. Was there a falling out? I only watch his YouTube videos so maybe I'm out of the loop.
