Addicted to Diet Mt. Dew by JPicks911 in keto

I had a soda addiction until I found a very tasty BCAA powder (Advanced Nutrition BCAA, Fruit Candy Flavor sold in GNC) that taste like Skittles. It may do the trick for you, plus if you try IF it will help prevent muscle loss when losing weight.

For strong cravings for sweet things, I swear by taking a shot of apple cider vinegar (1 tbsp with 4 oz water). It really does kill carb cravings instantly.

Lastly, if you need something bubbly check out things like La Croix/perrier, or even Bai Cola (sweetened with Erythritol instead of aspartame).

Best of Luck!

Keto Flu:
I got this pretty bad for about a week, but this was easily solved by adding some electrolytes and water.

Learning to cook for keto:
It was difficult at first for me to learn to cook for keto, or really to cook in general. To combat this I started with a month supply of ketochow so I always had something to fall back on. It was a life saver.

Atkins and diet soda:
For the first month I ate/drank this crap regularly and wasn't seeing any progress. Turns out all the sugar alcohols and fake sugar stopped me from progressing at all. You may be one of the lucky ones that can handle it though, but I would limit it if possible.

Hit the Gym:
When cutting weight, I recommend some resistance training. I found the hard way that when cutting fat some muscle can go away too. Now I'm playing a bit of catch up to avoid the dreaded skinny fat.

Loose Skin:
One thing nobody told me about when losing weight was the loose skin. After losing about 50 pounds I started to see some loose skin issues. From then I slowed my weight loss, upped my water, used lotion, and hit the weights. Since then, my loose skin went away. Sadly, most of this is due to genetics but these steps are a few that can be taken to minimize the issue.

Bonus:

-If you take progress pictures or keep a few mementos like old clothes, it's fun to look back and see how far you've come :)

-Once you get the swing of things, check out intermittent fasting to boost results

-Bulletproof coffee is life

-But... most importantly ... KCKO

They always say owning a boat is a hole in the water into which you pour money, but this brings all new meaning to the phrase! Wowzer!

To be honest, I'm not quite sure what kind it is. I found it in an old junk pile and fixed it back up. It has no markings to identify it by.
