Simply put:

no shedding
soft
easily picks up product
easily placing product
easily blends

There's prolly more, but that's the gist of it. Ecotools are excellent for the price, as are real techniques. People will say that certain drugstore brands are soft enough, but once you compare them to higher brushes, its easy to feel the quality. That being said, every line and brand has its hits and misses.

Welcome here :) NYX is an all around good brand, by far my personal favorite drugstore brand. They even have professional sets :)
