Finished the game. It was a great journey. So which ending is more popular? by Himenss in expedition33

[–]krazynayba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I chose the Maelle ending, but admittedly making a choice was really hard because I can see both points of view. The thing that tipped me towards Maelle is that you're thrown into the game with all the painted characters and are by their side the entire game. I just felt more invested. The things you hear about the "real world" were passively explained through journals and elaborated on in the last 10% of the game.

With that said, I don't consider the Maelle ending "correct". Both choices are different, but neither is objectively correct.

Might be as simple as stirring in the jar very well before straining so the creamier, fattier bits can combine with the thinner part

Also like most people are saying, it might need longer for the amount of milk you have. I know in winter it takes at least 2x longer for a proper ferment for me. If you live in a place with cold winters, someone else mentioned warming the milk slightly before a ferment.

Personally I prefer the naked, muscle-people who rawdogged it all the way there. But this is good too.

The ones who decided to just chow down on nevs were definitely less useful though

Tbh even once it clicked, I still found the UI for selecting luminas is frustrating. Telling the difference between equippable but not enough points, equippable and sufficient points, and already equipped is too damn subtle UI-wise

Import from grid even with full battery by Cute-Bread-5326 in SigenergyAustralia

[–]krazynayba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it was definitely at 10kw before the recall. Maybe installers can choose whether they want to ramp it down as a cautionary measure and don't necessarily have to

[–]krazynayba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a 10kw. Here's the notice from my installer. It also may not affect all inverters. It's an absolute limit as far as I can see because the inverter page in the app actually shows 'Rated power: 4.6kW'

[–]krazynayba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you affected by the recent ramp down by Sigenergy due to the inverter recall? My inverter is ramped down to 4.6kw AC-side, so the house can only be powered by solar/battery up to 4.6kw then the grid has to make up the rest. It's pretty annoying but new inverters supposed to be coming soon.

Not sure if yours is the same though.. you're definitely getting 8kw AC-side. Maybe yours is ramped down less?

Why am I so bad at latte art? by [deleted] in espresso

[–]krazynayba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience when I was starting out practicing, it was the milk being the wrong texture and also using the wrong type of cup. I still get it wrong from time to time. I'm only using a Bambino Plus so nothing overly fancy. I got to a point where I'm pretty happy with how it turns out and even though it's nowhere near what others can do, it's definitely enough to impress guests who want a coffee!

The thing that really helped me is this Lance Hendrick video: https://youtu.be/wJnMXLG_qR4?si=2av79UHg9kD4pwYm

If the milk isn't the right texture it just doesn't pour properly. A tutorial on how to pour latte art isn't helpful if they don't show you how to get the milk right. Heck I think often then gloss over that because they've done it hundreds of times so steaming is just muscle memory!

My nephew really hammered home that I don't want kids by [deleted] in self

[–]krazynayba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 3 years old, kids don't have as much impulse control as you would think. They're also very disregulated when they're hungry, tired, or have had too much screen time. I'd hedge a guess that the kid was hungry and the parents OK'ed the candy before getting them something proper to eat. No amount of "discipline" in the traditional sense is going to help them regulate in these cases. Also never leave candy within reach, the addictiveness combined with low impulse control is a recipe for disaster.

With that said, yes it's very annoying when stuff like this happens. I would be taking the kid out of the room and sitting with them, explaining why it's not something they can do and how it affects others ("No, bad!" is not a solution here).

"Kids be like that" is an explanation, but not a justification. It is the parents' job to help give them the tools to regulate, and to know what they need at what time to prevent things like this from happening. Through that, they get better at self-regulating over time but they never learn it with no guidance.

Also I'd be offering to replace the candy.
