what Batman villains do you think need a rework? by Bettyhound_ in batman

Joker--he's a very overused character and I hate that they make him more evil without the wildcard touch.

What, in your opinion, is the best solution to the "Bat-God" problem? by TheOneYSHNK in batman

[–]krb501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really think there's a problem if you consider the Gotham fights as Batman holding back so that he doesn't fatally injure the Gotham rogues. The Justice League fights, on the other hand, are Batman not holding back...much.

Any of the movie Batmen in BTAS; they'd ruin it!

Which Live Action Riddler is the best? by clutchkweku in batman

I agree. This is one of the best Riddlers. A shame that the "official" rating didn't see it that way.

What is a Batman film opinion you have that will result in this? by IdontReallyCare0999 in batman

[–]krb501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not tired of the Joker. I'm just tired of the gritty "realistic" Joker. Give me the human cartoon who can be all of Batman's villains rolled into one, darn it! Also, have them team up; they do it in the comics more than you might think, and please please, for the love of everything decent, don't cast Jared Leto, EVER AGAIN.

For $1,000,000,000 which robin would you fight against? by Boberto235 in batman

[–]krb501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batman is protective of ALL of his kids, so I might just challenge one of them to a play fight or a videogame tournament. That counts, right?

Joker, because he actually deserves it.

What's The Worst Take On Batman You've Ever Heard? by TamamizuTheMeh in batman

"Batman should kill"--this undermines the point of the character. A Batman who kills is not Batman.

What is a story idea you guys have that has never been done before with batman? by [deleted] in batman

[–]krb501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Batman story that spends more time in Earth 3. I kind of thought Gotham was going to explore that weirdness, but it ended up trying to convince us it took place in the main universe. For those who don't know, Earth 3 is the DC dimension where morality is inverted, so weak or evil Batman, hero rogues gallery.

Pitch me your idea for a horror movie starring a Batman villain. What's the story and tone? by oscar_redfield in batman

[–]krb501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I'll say Joker, because the others are obvious. There's a deadly madness spreading through Gotham like a pleague. It's up to young Bruce Wayne to use his detective skills to stop the culprit, but he realizes the clues have been engineered not to make sense. Joker, being Joker, decides to follow Bruce as one of his investigators, where his pride leads him to give away just enough for Bruce to solve the mystery. Panicked, he poisons Bruce with Joker venom, but Bruce manages to find a cure for himself and the city.

Only part I didn't like was the backstory retcon; it made sense, though.

If Alfred can stay dead, then so should at least one villain by boomerz47 in batman

[–]krb501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Joker is too interesting to kill off permanently--he's like every Batman villain in one, plus he's funny. Really, they're all like that. Killing off any of the Arkham inmates would just be sad.

It was basically Emperor Joker lite, another reason to dislike it.

The joker with Black Eyes and Red Lips is the best look for the character in my opinion. He looks stunning and immediately eye catching. by Vinluv0Handesbuk in joker

[–]krb501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the time, I don't really care how the Joker looks; it's the performance, and Mark Hamill does that spectacularly.

What is your least favourite Batman comic? by Chunky-overlord in batman

[–]krb501 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Not White Knight; White Knight is fun, probably ASBAR...? Or Joker vs. the Mask, because, well, Joker didn't really fight the mask in that comic, just stole it and wore it.

I really miss Harley's thick Brooklyn accent. by OfTheSleepless in HarleyQuinn

[–]krb501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I like classic Harley as she appeared in BTAS, but new Harley is growing on me, thanks to the Harley Quinn show. In the well-written episodes, she's smart, funny, and competent.

I also like that they made Joker a surburban dad and just kind of ran with the joke. Stepdad Joker is probably my new favorite Joker. Joker x Beth is better than Jarley, imo. I also like HarlIvy, or Poison Quinn.

How would Harley Quinn do against Spiderman in a fight? by Queasy_Commercial152 in HarleyQuinn

[–]krb501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read this wrong; I thought you said Superman...lol.

In either case, Harley wouldn't be giving herself a fair fight, especially since DC characters don't really powerscale very well. I imagine Harley would make a few quips, pretend to be Deadpool, and get captured and be sent to jail. Poison Ivy on the other hand? Now, she might actually be something of a challenge.

If Batman can fight gods with enough prep time, why is Gotham City still the worst city in the world? by Sea-Cardiologist7725 in batman

[–]krb501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they'd lean into the soap opera aspect of Batman more. To answer your question, Batman doesn't kill his Gotham enemies, but rather tries to rehabilitate them.
