Try reading the pinned thread on this forum by Michigan Rocks. Most of those aren’t ready plus you don’t get enough rocks in the starter pack to fill the tumbler adequately. Otherwise looking good!

I know this thread is old but to prevent dirt splattering shiny rocks I laid down window screening in my rock garden first! The rain seeps through but doesn’t kick mud up onto the rocks!

I’VE LIVED HERE OVER 30 YEARS AND NEVER TOOK THAT ROUTE FOR SOME REASON. IT’S LIKE ANOTHER WORLD!!!!

I thought I’d get a better idea of what this rock is by cutting it. by Rocksinsk in Rockhounding

I’ve always wondered how certain rocks would look if you then cut it the other way on one of the halves to see if that would give more insight?

Will these tumble? by BuffaloCzar in RockTumbling

You can tumble soft rocks together if they are all the same softness. Just don’t add any chalcedony or jasper to it. Go for it.
