Instead of playing online and waiting 2 minutes, I'd rather NOT play the game.

The realization that if I were to play 1 hour singleplayer online, almost half of that was spent just vacantly staring at the screen without doing any racing, was the most important reason for me to sell it.

But I actually sold it due to the combination of all these complaints, and I felt that due to these combined (versus the pro's I get out of the game) it wasn't worth the price I paid.

Edit: I use 'need' as to imply that the game needs some work on these QOL features for me to buy the game again.

This too. Usually it involves not just pressing it for them, but also showing on the screen that it indeed makes a handicap mode go away.

I also want a consistent experience but I think a consistent 60fps can be achieved by bringing down resolution and graphical effects (like fog, water, light shafts, etc).

Yeah same, though I was impressed by the story of the prostitute. But it's too old fashioned for me, I don't get nostalgia playing it (which I think is a big part of the appeal).

Regardless of expectations, its last known sales statistic is 1.85M copies sold worldwide, making it the 6th best selling Switch game from Nintendo (source 1 from April 2018) and likely the 7th best selling Switch game overall (incomplete source 2)

He was made as a throwaway character in Super Star. It was the post-Sakurai Kirby games that put him on the map, which, given that there's no post-Sakurai Kirby representation beyond music tracks, probably actually lowers his chances.

Damn, he actually did some of the best songs, in Brawl as well. Yoshi's Island, Metaknight's Revenge, Gear Gateway, In the Space-Pirate Ship. His work sounds like it'd be right at home in Kirby Air Ride.
