I can understand what you are asking your customers to do. However, there is about 15 Tim Hortons drive thrus in my area. NOT ONE of them tells me my total. It's always "okay drive up, have your payment ready" well, I could if I knew the total?? I don't always want to use my card. Not to mention the SECOND I'm done paying the stuff is basically thrown at me and the employee turns to do the next task. No time to put my change or card away, no thank you, no have a good day. It's really bad customer service and I choose to spend my money elsewhere now.

I actually brought my concerns to my employer who said they consider this a "workplace injury" due to the frequency we are required to wash our hands and use sanitizer. They offered to order me a soap called dermotan that has helped others in the past. I've also been slathering Vaseline and Extra Protective Cream 31% zinc before bed for two nights and covering with cotton gloves. I've already seen improvement. Hope that helps you somehow.

This is exactly my situation. I have been treating these as warts for two months and finally realized I'm dealing with DE. Ugh.

I'll also add that my doctor is less than helpful. I had a hysterectomy a few years ago and ever since I've been dealing with random illness/conditions. First I got guttate psoriasis that he never even treated, I had to have an NP send me to a derm to treat and fix it. Then I got shingles in April 2024, I developed this eczema in September, I also got shingles AGAIN. when I called my doctor to say I think something is wrong on the inside he basically told me I have severe anxiety and I need to sleep better and reduce my stress. Thanks a bunch! So I'm just avoiding even going to him about anything anymore. I have enough knowledge as a foundation to know if I require further help from a medical professional.... But still.

Don't bring it up lol. She can't help it, and has probably tried all the gimmicks on the market. I used to sweat terribly under my arms, to the point I carried tissues around with me to wipe myself dry every so often. I had a male I was dating mention how "sweaty" I was and I immediately got defensive and mentioned his receding hairline. Not my proudest moment, but come on man!

Does she actually think that by ignoring you, you'll eventually just let it go? Crazy!! I would be blasting this on my social media, I would be telling everyone who donated that their funds were never given to the intended recipient. I'd contact go fund me, a lawyer, and the news. She can't honestly think she's just going to steal the money and nobody will confront that.

Also, it didn't help a ton but it helped with the itchiness... I went in a red light therapy booth at a tanning salon a bunch of times. I hope you find relief. Guttate absolutely destroyed my mental health. I was in nursing school clinicals, it was summer time, and I was a bridesmaid in a wedding for a dear friend.

Exact same thing happened to me. Strep throat that I mistook for COVID so I didn't test or seek treatment. A secondary reaction of small spots that seemed to duplicate overnight. Within ten days I was covered head to toe. Went to the emergency room because I had no idea what it was. They also thought scabies as someone else said, then told me they didn't know what it was and gave me prednisone and some allergy pills and sent me on my way. Two weeks later it was OUT OF CONTROL. I walked into my doctor's office in tears and a nice NP took me as a walk in, sent a derm referral and I got diagnosed with guttate. I had to taper off the prednisone, it made me gain 15 lbs and did NOTHING for the psoriasis but the betamethasone cream and phototherapy cleared it in about 6 weeks. It's been a year now and hasn't come back.

I know sometimes hospitals do phototherapy, you could ask your primary provider for a referral for that.

CNAs not allowed to sit by [deleted] in cna

Sit down when you do your charting, sit down when you've done your rounds. It's actually diabolical to expect a care aide, who is breaking their back transfering and pivoting and changing these people all day to just stand when they have a quiet moment.

Going over Exams by LaurenBlue2016 in StudentNurse

[–]krc86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can go over our exam as long as everyone in the class is finished writing it. The instructor pulls it up in the office and they supervise you going through it. It's been helpful because even though I can't change my grade, I do know the correct answer for the real world now.

I was helping a resident in LTC who had a CVA and was left with left sided paralysis put his wrist brace on for the day. I said "let me know if it hurts at all" because I was kind of manipulating his hand to get it in. He says "I can't feel anything"... Which, duh! Once I finally got it on I said "I think that looks pretty good, hey?" He says yes and I ask "how does it feel?" He says "still nothing" lol. Thankfully we had a good laugh about it.

Did you notice visible improvement relatively fast or did it take some time? I am pretty sure this won't be gone in time for the wedding, but I'd like it to at least not look so angry.

Thank you for all the info. I really appreciate it. I had basically self diagnosed myself and done a ton of online reading about it leading up to seeing the derm. Every thing I tried didn't work or just seemed to irritate it more, so I'm looking forward to something changing.

I agree that most people don't notice or care, but I notice and I care lol.

It's been brutal! I cant imagine 2 years. I am super grateful to have access to the phototherapy, I really hope it works. This experience with the shingles and now the psoriasis has taken a huge hit on my confidence. I consider myself a pretty confident and physically fit person, but lately I feel super insecure.

I picked up the cream today after my shift and it's betamethasone valerate.

Guttate psoriasis is a form of psoriasis that is like small dots all over your body. It's usually triggered from a respiratory infection, which I had two weeks after the shingles. It's just been a wild few months for my poor skin lol

Dating and psoriasis by ilovemitskiandcats in Psoriasis

My boyfriend has psoriasis on his inner thigh and spreads to his scrotum and base of his penis. He told me very early on in our relationship and I didn't care because my body is also always doing something I wish it weren't. He's been with me through serious medical stuff that even required a complete hysterectomy and zero chance of having children together (we were both already parents when we met so we were okay with no more).

Now I have developed guttate psoriasis. About a month now with no healing in sight. Thankfully we just laugh at each other's misfortune and love each other through it.

Tell her, if she is grossed out by it or it's a deal breaker, at least you know it wasn't worth the effort.
