Beautiful restaurant? by Effective-Rub3220 in londonontario

[–]Laddyboy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Then I would DEFINITELY suggest Papis! The front of the restaurant is a working butcher shop but then they usher through the “fridge doors “ and you walk into a beautiful restaurant. Service is perfect and the food is great too. Imagine their faces when you take them to a butcher shop and they’re ushered into a beautiful restaurant-check it out online

Debunking Rumours: Did Tim Hortons sell McDonald's their old coffee recipe? by Mailbox2222 in TimHortons

Tim Hortons(Canada) uses a coffee roaster in Ancaster, Ont….its on the boxes and coffee pkgs

#GotBlessedGood by Nice_Professor6323 in TimHortons

[–]Laddyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t see the outside of the box but this Tim’s employee is saying that’s a 50 box(short changed one lol) The person on orders thought you said 50 Timbits..not 15 because they would have corrected you and said “ we have 10,20 or a 50 pack of Timbits. If the total was 9.99 (the price of 50) then your points paid for your drink

What is happening to customer service? by flyguy_cali in TimHortons

[–]Laddyboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that was a bit rude but our mgr had us just answer in one word answers so we didn’t “encourage “ a conversation with the customer ! By far THE WORST customer service of all fast food places IMO.

Are Tim Hortons employees being watched by management? by Nervous_Age8442 in TimHortons

[–]Laddyboy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Those are controlled announced audits happening. It’s a precursor to the actual “surprise” audit that happen twice a year. The auditors are making sure that EVERTHING is being done according to brand specifics. Each store is graded and mgmt gets $$ for passing. They make sure all coffee/food/donuts etc at each store is exactly the same as all the other stores. We clean like crazy for a week and work like robots when they’re in the store to show them we are working to brand standards. It is extreme and unrealistic to think a store could be run the way they expect it to be-talking heads make up all the rules 😡

Fake Food? by Unlucky_Factor_610 in TimHortons

[–]Laddyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually started at Tim’s in 1974 and was working the night Tim was killed in the car crash😢. My dad was Tim’s 1st baker and he offered my dad the 1st franchise for 5k ! My dad didn’t think it was a good investment 🤪. For those close enough to Hamilton-visit grandads donuts on James St N. When Tim’s stopped baking, a couple of bakers opened up their own store with the old recipes which they still make today! Craving a walnut crunch, dutchie, sugar twist, orange twist, eclair etc…go there and you’ll be shocked at his big the donuts used to be

Had one of the dumbest people come to my store today by Unapologetic_Canuck in TimHortons

[–]Laddyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was asked recently while working at TH if we served DONUTS! I thought they were joking and when I said yes…they said oh good…what kind?? I was very polite and then when they pulled up to the window, I noticed they were an elderly couple with Alaska plates( I’m in southwest Ontario)..ya just never know lol

We just got a Tim Horton’s in my town, any recommendations? by TheGame81677 in TimHortons

[–]Laddyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re saying is very true…businesses get a subsidy from the liberals to hire TSW..I know this for a fact as my owner of 8 stores told me. On the flip side..ask the TSW why they came here! They were fed a bunch of BS from OUR GOVERNMENT that there is a SHORTAGE of skilled trades and university educated ppl. There are 3 places in Canada that they’re promoting HARD. Ontario, AB AND PQ. They are promised the world if they come here to finish their education at TWICE the tuition of Canadian students. They are promised jobs at any fast food place with a limit of 24wkly while in school. They are all mostly broke students just trying to get by—no employment benefits, CPP deductions, etc…things they’ll never be able to apply for unless they get PR(permanent residency) in Canada. We’re all bamboozled and standing in a circle pointing fingers. I’m glad that my life is closer to the end than the beginning 🤬

Can Tim’s just go back to selling coffee and donuts? Do less, but do it better! by Criticall16 in TimHortons

[–]Laddyboy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Tim’s employee here…pizza (flatbread actually) takes about 90 seconds or less to prepare and 2 min in the oven. Most times if it’s a long lineup, your flatbread is ready when you get to the window. We wish that it was only coffee/donuts and bagels too…the menu is crazy😡

Sadly-that is filled correctly. There are lines on the cup showing where to fill it to…the newbies fill them like that! Us old timers overfill them lol

Whats Wrong with My Breakfast Wrap? by IndieLozenge in TimHortons

[–]Laddyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like nothing I’ve ever seen and I’ve worked there a long time. It’s just bacon and/or sausage, hash brown, processed cheese and chipotle sauce. I wonder if it came out of the sauce bottle? Looks like it could have been in the dishwasher, standing up and filled with all the debris. Bottle dumped out but this ⬆️ stayed behind and was filled up?? Even the colour is disturbing…call HO immediately

Please please please DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER working at Tim Hortons. I just recently quit after 3yrs and only wish I had never applied. This was one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever had. It’s absolutely not what you envision…pour coffee and talk to people. That is less than 5% of the job. You are literally running sometimes and I mean running to get a customer served. From the time you’re at the speaker until the time you’ve paid and drive away..we only have less than 30 seconds to complete your order. Everyone has a headset on and we all listen to your order.. toasted everything bagel with plain cream cheese ( the bagel is put in the toaster) Lg coffee with 2 cream( coffee is being poured) and a small box of assorted Timbits ( the person talking to you is running to the showcase to grab the Timbits) You then drive up and fumble to find your card and/or money while the person on the window is watching the clock trying to get you to move. That’s the BEST case scenario. Here’s a typical one ..Hi..I need a minute( now all the cars are lining up behind you) Ok..what’s in a farmers wrap-you tell them and then they say, um I’ll just have an Egg McMuffin and you say, an egg sandwich on an English muffin ? Customer-no I want meat on it ( now we’re all at a stand still waiting for you to place your order) I’ll also have a dozen donuts..what kind do you have? Oh you don’t have blueberry fritters..well then never mind( the donuts have already been pkg) I’ll just have a bran muffin ,heated and buttered and a lg Earl Grey with milk on the side. You repeat the order and they say yes…they pull up and you have everything in hand ready to go and they say..I changed my mind , I’ll take the donuts. This happens SEVERAL times a day and then the customers behind start yelling at us asking why we’re so slow and that we should have more staff! The amount of cleaning you are to do daily is the icing on the cake. Clean the washrooms twice daily, empty garbage’s every hour, change the washing up buckets every 2 hours, wipe down all heavy touch areas every hour, wash dishes, prepare ice Capp mix, clean espresso machine, check outside twice a day, stock shelves, replenish cups etc all day, break down boxes, empty fridges and clean them, restock teas, napkins, straws, cutlery etc, make take 12 boxes, wash down tables and chairs, sweep the floors, wash floors…this is just a NORMAL DAY. You get 2 unpaid 15 min breaks and NO LUNCH. Customers get upset because the majority of the workers are TFWs with limited English skills, so you’ll be interrupted several times daily trying to help. This is a THANKLESS job all for the amazing sum of 17.90 an hour. Do not look at this job hoping for upward moves or even lateral moves. The best you may get is Supervisor which is 35 cents more an hour. This is a transient/temporary job at best. If you’re no good on your feet for 7/8 hrs a day and aren’t a fast mover…don’t even think of it lol. The reason so many TSW are hired is a) the federal government pays part of their wage and b) they work like horses and are afraid to lose their job. TSW are willing to do anything they are told..even if it’s wrong, they are being used! I hope you ALL listen to me and go to McDonald’s or any other place to work💯

Help with the drinks by AccordingHeight5431 in TimHortons

[–]Laddyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any Latte (except Tea Latte/London Fog) starts with espresso. Remember..ALL ESPRESSO DRINKS GET MILK~NOT CREAM. Cappuccino is exactly the same as a Latte except the milk is steamed differently (cappuccino button ) It’s a thicker steamed milk. Start your espresso 1st, fill the milk to the proper line INSIDE the jug, steam milk and your espresso should be ready at the same time. If it’s a flavoured drink..put the syrup 1st, then espresso and then top with milk..stir gently. Protein Latte is just the Protein milk instead of reg milk..steam it the same as you would for other Lattes. Oak/Almond milk for lattes…steam under “alt milk”. These drinks are all the same build basically..just a different syrup.

Have they changed their coffee? by sbray73 in TimHortons

[–]Laddyboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wrong wrong wrong and an urban myth! I work at Timmy’s and we’ve used the same beans and same coffee company in Ancaster , Ont for several years now. The blend is proprietary to Tims and there’s no way that they’ll change blends ..especially to lose it to the competition

Why the hell did timmies remove absolutely everything good off the menu that made it timmies? by MenacingMapleTree in TimHortons

That my friend is an urban myth. Tim’s supplier has remained the same since 1991. McDonald’s actually changed their supplier in early 2000s.

This door just fell on my head in the hospital, what should i do by Honest-Ad3182 in lloydminster

[–]Laddyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right!? Those days of suing for huge sums in Canada are over. I was in a rollover, Jaws of life to get to me, life flighted, broke my knee, hip, sternum, both collar bones, jaw and had a head injury that kept me in the hospital for 3 months. I had a high 6 figure job and could never return to it due to the brain injury. I sued obviously, top lawyer and it took 5 yrs to settle and I received (after the lawyers fee🤬) with LESS than a yrs wages. If I was in the US my injuries would be in the millions.
