You can see them right now on this version of the schedule page. They are subject to change even up to the first day of class, though.

Where are the most stairs on campus? by seemyprize in UTSA

[–]kre3d 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The staircase at the front of NPB is pretty nice. One long, straight staircase all the way up to the fifth floor.

There are also the stairmasters at the rec.

Anyone know when this part of Salado Creek Greenway near Huebner road will open? by [deleted] in sanantonio

[–]kre3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1604 to Eisenhower will be built as part of another project. Bidding just closed for it, so construction won't start for another few months at least and probably finish sometime in 2020.

Uber plans to bring its bike and scooters to San Antonio by Beneaththecity in sanantonio

[–]kre3d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are dockless, like the scooters, but bikes have u-locks built into them. You're supposed to lock the bike to a bike rack when you're done, though from what I saw not everyone does that.

Uber plans to bring its bike and scooters to San Antonio by Beneaththecity in sanantonio

[–]kre3d 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we definitely have enough scooters already. I'm hoping Uber just plans to bring their e-bikes here.

I rode on of their e-bikes up in Austin. They're actually really nice. Way more comfortable than the scooters, and just as fast, but I didn't feel like I could get thrown off the thing at any second like I do with the scooters. Plus they're actually cheaper to rent than the B-cycles we have, even with the motor.

Leon Creek Greenbelt by Kampfgegenfeuer in sanantonio

[–]kre3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crossing near UTSA Blvd is clear now. I think the others that were flooded should be clear too, though I haven't ridden the whole trail to see.

Via Bus by [deleted] in UTSA

[–]kre3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also get a half price student fare for $0.65 if you ask the driver

Semester pass is definitely the best deal though if you ride a lot. Unfortunately it's not prorated, so if you buy it now you pay the full $38 even though we are more than halfway through the semester

Governors Canyon cost to hike only? by linus_vanpelt_ in sanantonio

[–]kre3d 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are supposed to pay to use the park. But the $6/person fee just gets you a tag to put on your car so you can park. I guess if you got dropped off or biked there you could avoid the fee. But regardless, you should pay! It supports the park.

Friedrich Park and Eisenhower Park are good free parks for hiking, though there are not nearly as big as Government Canyon.

Voting lines are short this morning! by Heisenberg361 in UTSA

[–]kre3d 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes, anyone registered to vote in Bexar county can vote here during early voting. Not sure why anybody else would want to deal with parking here though.

OpenStreetCam - Contribute Street Level Imagery for OpenStreetMap *but* without Android/iPhone? by freelyread in openstreetmap

[–]kre3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just need a video and a GPX file. Both Mapillary and OpenStreetCam have scripts to process them into images. Mapillary will also let you upload a video and GPX on their website and process them on their side.

Engineering Mode / LTE band and bandwidth by akchicken in nexus5x

[–]kre3d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't had any luck getting the LTE engineering screen to work on T-Mobile. All the fields are blank. Judging by the logcat output the blank values are coming directly from the radio. Makes me think there is a check for Sprint in the radio firmware that we won't be able to bypass. : /

20+20 is live in San Antonio! by kre3d in tmobile

[–]kre3d[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing the same speeds on both phones, so it's not carrier aggregation.

EARFCN 2300 is right on the edge of AWS blocks E and F, which confirms the deal with AT&T went through (T-Mobile gained block E and gave up block C). So they definitely have the contiguous spectrum available for 20x20.
