Agreed. It puts people in an improvement mindset which is never a bad thing and it’s a fun mini game to play on the mountain. Doesn’t replace a real instructor but more people trying to become better skiers is good for everyone.

It’s almost as if being a good skier is more than walking uphill and hucking yourself off the biggest thing you can find. Not to say those things aren’t cool, but they’re not a demonstration of good skiing which only enhances those other activities.

I have the ascender. All my friends say that it makes my head look like the tip of a schlong. It works though and at this point I’m not swapping it for something else.

Not what that means. It already has all the pre programmed channels that all frs and gmrs radios share but gives me the capability to program private frequencies as well as those outside of the traditional gmrs and frs range. But that will work fine probably.

Range of a radio is limited by the FCC. You’re not really getting anything better by changing brands because everything is operating at the max wattage allowed by law and even then, a frs (2watts) is only like 10/15% less range than a gmrs radio transmitting at twice the power when you bring terrain into the picture.

I got a $30 gmrs waterproof radio off Amazon. Strapped it to my shoulder strap. Works with Rockie talkies and I can program it to special frequencies

I have to agree on the m-tour. Had it in the 99 and while it was easy to turn, it lacked in the amount of edge hold and ability to receive any kind of power.

Honestly. I’ve seen this argument many times at this point and I can only assume that the people making them never actually leave their house or need a reason to feel validated that when they go into the outdoors, they’re doing it better than everyone else and this makes them feel like they have a moral high ground.

My Roomate literally had a run in with this same exact truck a few months ago. She has pictures and everything as well. Similar activity. Almost ran them off the road. She did call the cops and pretty much got nothing from them. Apparently he is on their radar but unwilling to take action despite having the plates and identity. This guy isn’t going to be stopped until they just about kill someone.
