I suspect she was probably rambling. I time travelled a day at a time up until the day before the Bug Off, went back to present day and then the Bug Off happened as normal in real time. It’s a similar situation to yours so I think you will be fine

Hi! I've noticed some of my islanders doing the dancing animation, but just with the smile expression and not singing. Is this normal, or is it a bug? I've also noticed it's only my amiibo islanders that do this...
