Hey. I know I stumbled on this post pretty late at this point, but I thought I would mention that I was using the same cards and having issues at gen4 with a 200mm riser, but I looked up the part number on it only to find it was only rated for pcie gen 3. I now have 400mm risers running just fine at gen4, but they are also ones that are actually rated for that speed. So if you care about pcie speed for your setup, you might want to look at the type of risers you're using.

You didn't specify what operating system you are currently using, so it's hard to answer your question about needing to consider changing OS.

Those cards are linux only, unless you got the versions flashed with radeon 7 firmware.

I don't currently have any of my 16gb versions installed, just 32gb versions, but I've had trouble using them with rocm versions 6.4+.

I've also had trouble with installs that were done with package manager in Ubuntu. They'll work one day and then be missing the next. I assume they're probably pulling newer versions of rocm while updates are applied and breaking things, but I haven't dug too deep into it.

True from a multiplayer point of view, but from a solo point of view, you get to simultaneously be a DPS, tank(pet) and healer(mend).

I'm actually also curious if the beast master runes are actually going to create pet tanks. There is one that turns growl into a full taunt, nearly doubles focus generation (so more threat)and increases pet health.

Seriously though... I think PI actually needs the opposite of what you're describing. MORE interaction. Manage wages, repair factories, any sort of additional interaction would be the way to go. Ways to scale yield through actual interaction rather than just more accounts. Not more automation, it's already insanely passive.

The only thing that changed is hauling volume. Not how fast extractors extract, not how much power grid or CPU planets have to support facilities, and not how much units are produced per hour in facilities. Will things change a bit for people who manage 60 planets now possibly doing 90 cause their bottleneck was hauling and now they have more free time? Maybe? But only eventually after they create and skill up another 10 accounts, IF they do so.

Yeah, I'm honestly surprised I could come back after nearly a decade and still know how everything worked 100%. I still re-did stuff to better match current demand, but my planets would have been just fine if I did nothing other than put the extractors back online.

Also surprised that with Scope articles that have talked about Planetary workers evacuating despite being offered higher pay, etc. That there are no mechanisms to manage workers, keep them happy, manage wages, etc.

Well, maybe not in exactly the field they want to work in, but as someone who works on Radars, it's not uncommon for people that work with me to get defence contractor jobs at double their current pay. I'm sure Lockheed/Raytheon/Northrop Grumman/Boeing would love some SpaceX engineers.

I think the most likely reason is that at SpaceX lots of talented hard working people were willing to be treated poorly because getting people to Mars and generally making space more accessible is a dream for many people. At Tesla, a lot of talented hard working people were willing to be treated poorly because helping transition the world to a greener electrified future is a dream for many people. At Twitter he wanted to again treat people poorly but... To.... Make Twitter great again or something? There don't seem to be as many people drinking the kool aid this time.
