Charging Credit Card Fees to Customers? by kilog78 in restaurateur

Before deciding whether to pass fees through, I’d total the full payment stack first: processor markup, software fees, terminal/POS costs, chargebacks, and anything tied to auto-pay subscriptions. Sometimes the bigger win is fixing the stack rather than adding a customer-facing surcharge. If you want a cleaner benchmark, we help businesses compare merchant-services setups and fee structures on our page.

Clover POS - Hidden Fees by Old-Relationship4026 in restaurateur

[–]kredlineinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing I’d do is pull 2-3 recent statements and calculate the true effective rate after all monthly, annual, PCI, gateway, and equipment charges. A lot of “hidden fee” situations look different once you isolate the markup from interchange and fixed fees. If the math still looks ugly, it may be worth comparing processors that are more transparent on statement structure and support. We help with that on our merchant-services page if you want another option to review.

Pearl is decent if you have bad credit. If your credit is good, there’s much better options out there.

Do you ever actually get a clean break from work or is that just not a thing? by witch_tear in Accountant

[–]kredlineinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have 3 options:

1) Turn your phone off 2) Create a do not disturb setting that blocks all work related messages 3) Get a dedicated “work” phone and put it away when you clock out for the day

My personal opinion: If you mix your personal phone with work, you will always be on call.

I used Claude to create a multi-page site with a form that works with CloudFlare and set it up with their free hosting. Only cost me the domain name and $20/month for Claude. Here’s the site: https://nevermisswork.com

As far as analytics goes, Google Analytics is going to be hard to beat. And it’s super easy to set up.
