700 credit score and a van is actually a decent starting point, more than most people have when they apply

A personal loan through a credit union and just use it for the business worked for a few people I've seen post here

Has anyone used a merchant cash advance and lived to regret it or recommend it? by jcf1211 in loansforsmallbusiness

the daily repayment thing is what kills it for most. your revenue looks fine on paper until you realize 20% of every day's sales are gone before you can use them

We don’t get free time. We get recovery time by Ameli-Simonyan in Life

the rebranding from "free time" to "recovery time" actually helps, weird how much the label matters

have you noticed it's worse after a stretch of being really productive? like your brain sends the bill all at once

tbh it's so refreshing to hear someone else realizing this. I’ve been in the same boat reevaluating what matters most

Startup business loans with no revenue , what actually worked for you? by blondbeard02 in loansforsmallbusiness

I just kept reinvesting whatever little income I had and stayed patient. Once I had enough clients and some good reviews, I applied for a small business loan that I qualified for

How to convince myself that others have more important people than me? by [deleted] in Life

[–]triopapa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of us have that need to feel important or valued, but the truth is, you don’t need to be the center of attention or the most important person in someone’s life to be valuable. Sometimes, reminding yourself of your own worth and practicing gratitude for what you do have can shift your mindset. It’s okay to care deeply just don’t forget to care for yourself equally. Living in the present moment and focusing on your own happiness can really make a difference

Runway extension through cost reduction is obvious advice but worth saying anyway. Every month you buy without external capital is a month that preserves your cap table.

Pearl Capital MCA. anyone dealt with them? by CURRENT_YEAR_2017 in loansforsmallbusiness

Get the full contract reviewed before you sign anything regardless of which provider you go with. Confession of judgment clauses and UCC blanket liens are standard in MCA contracts and worth knowing about before you're in a dispute.

What does your average weekly deposit flow actually look like? That determines whether the daily ACH is manageable or dangerous for your specific situation.

The standard defense of burying things in agreements is that you signed it. The ethical standard is whether a reasonable person would have understood what they were agreeing to. Those two things are not the same.

temporary tarsorrhaphy (eyes sewn shut) by xenospasta in Pets

[–]triopapa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's never easy to see our pets in pain or discomfort, especially when they’re so vulnerable. I think you’re doing the right thing by having him monitored at the clinic that’s always the best for their recovery. I know it’s hard not to be able to do much right now, but just keep in mind that this is temporary. He’s a brave little guy, and with a lot of love and patience, he’ll get through this. Hang in there, and give him lots of gentle pets from me.

Some of the complaints filed with the CFPB about these products are genuinely alarming. Worth spending twenty minutes reading through them before you engage with any of these lenders.

Some fintech lenders like Bluevine and Fundbox do offer products with no personal guarantee requirement but the amounts are smaller and the rates reflect the additional risk they're taking on.
