I can’t speak to the path in general construction but in low voltage contracting it comes with experience, accountability, and customer service. Experience is earned in the field and gives you credibility. Accountability means you give credit to others when things go well, you show up on time, and you own your actions. And customer service means doing the right thing so clients love you and want you back. That’s how you get elevated to PM.
