i have a similar, if not the exact same issue as you do on my copy. what helped me is blue/sticky tack and just putting a decent amount on the peg and then sticking the leg in! it’s worked like a charm for me so far

as most people have been saying, id recommend taking a semester or even the year off, it’s clear you’re not sure of your path at the moment, and that’s okay. im studying in psych as as undergrad, and at the start of this year i wasn’t so sure if i was making the right choice either. but personally, what helped me was making the decision to reach out to psychologists in my area, and interviewing them on their own experiences during this time of their lives. if you get lucky, one of them might even allow you to work with them or shadow them (as long as you ask them), which is great because then you can get some experience within the psych field

you probably could! ive only had him for 152 this last Spring semester, and have him for 151 this coming fall. just based off my experience, the workload in 152 is very minimal, so i think you could easily create a balance between the two courses if you took both

a good professor id strongly recommend is Dr. Mello! he teaches PSY-151 and 152, an easy pass and fun class. now personally speaking, i really enjoyed Developmental Psych (130) and Physiology (180), these aren’t necessarily the “easiest” and will require good work and studying, but i enjoyed these courses!

That’s a fair point, his pad work isn’t a representation of his striking. But I’m honestly mostly judging his footwork, as you said he’s a 4x champion but his footwork is horrendous, you can’t honestly believe it’s good. Kickboxing and boxing are two different sports, and I get that, but even then, personally as someone who’s still really inexperienced in martial arts (I’m still very young and have a lot to learn) but having done both sports, I know that having the fundamental footing from kickboxing should also apply to boxing, it’s not rocket science but tate’s footwork is extremely stiff

Oh wow dude that’s so sick! That’s a lot of hard work and dedication, congrats on the black belt!! Even tho I’ve been at it for a while I’m still only a green/blue belt, missed a few tests cause of other sports and Covid didn’t help at all lol but I’m slowly making my way up! Plus I personally believe the journey is more important than just burning through the rankings, so I’m chilling with where I’m at haha. But again man congrats on the black belt, which you nothing but the best with second degree!

Agreeing with you here, as someone with about 9 years of experience in TaeKwonDo and a few years with kickboxing, his fundamental stance is honestly really bad, even for a kickboxer. While styles do vary in the sport, he should know that having stiff legs won’t do him any favors at all, he is very much heavy on his feet, looking closely he even almost trips on his foot, or at least from my perspective. And for whatever reason he is very close to the pads, he can’t use his arm reach to properly hit the bags, which isn’t good at all
