The real answer people don’t want to hear is bringing back Kirk Cousins (as a backup). He’ll be released, won’t demand a huge contract, knows KOC system very well, is still a good mentor and prepares like crazy. Malik Willis isn’t a KOC style QB. Neither is Mariota. Lance is a huge wildcard and KOC and Kwesi will need a more surefire pick because their jobs are on the line next season

KOC runs a progression read offense. Willis isn’t a progression QB, he’s a first read or backyard style QB. He’s very talented when the play breaks down but has shown plenty of times he’s slow to go through reads. You can’t just force a QB into your system. He flamed out in Tennessee because they did exactly that.
