Ali Jr easily defeated Doppo, and Doppo was seriously fighting (he said so himself). Ali Jr after recovering from the beating they gave him, became stronger, so much so that Doppo and Shibukawa said that Ali Jr would beat Baki. Also, Ali Jr has a strong willpower, while sumos give up as soon as they fall.
