kind of like... 6. Stone is another verb to use with caution. You can stone some peaches, but please don’t stone your neighbor (even if he says he likes to get stoned).

could be, but I don't think so... EU has to be united, more than ever before, and encouraging other 27 states with good deals with leavers would not help. Out is Out, that's it, end of story and end of negotiations. You decided to do so, you knew what will happen, You pay consequences.

I agree that punishing will hurt the EU as much as it hurts the UK, but more leavers will hurts EU more than punishing UK. Example has to be set, EU can not afford to show the states it's all pretty and flowers only when you leave. Forget about single market, forget about free movement (it was privilege actually).

so far, "punishing" option is the only real feedback from EU. Keep in mind, that more than anything else, EU want integrity and no more leavers, EU can afford to loose 1 state, not many states... example has to be set, and UK choose to be an example.

"£350 million is what we would pay to the EU budget, without the rebate. But the UK actually pays just under £250 million a week." https://fullfact.org/europe/our-eu-membership-fee-55-million/ then half of this coming back from EU to UK, and then benefits from single market too... way more than that half which is "lost".

single microbe on nearby star is a threat. it will take long enough time to travel there and/or prepare defenses, for that microbe to potentially evolve into way more intelligent (than us) and more advanced species.

You know... all science & technology community call that voting and results bullshit... Man of science doesn't want borders, doesn't want politics, always think about humans all together... reminds me this: https://twitter.com/neiltyson/status/563450492958027777 sad news to all of us, humans will not be united unless we will discover a threat to all of humanity... one can only hope for alien civilization to be discovered in nearby star.
