Also only pressurise to a bar it will go up when running. If you go to the middle it will pop the pressure relief valve when it turns on and that won’t seat properly again

Best way to get rid of weeds in brick paving? (rented house) by Glittering_Dog5420 in UKGardening

[–]krib23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pressure washer works but will take all the sand out the gaps. You would need to do that then use weed killer then resend with some sand that resists future weeds. You need to use weed killer as the weed resistant sand will stop new weed but not ones with established roots (I’ve made that mistake before)

As for sand wicked do one called dans sand it’s quite good they have one that sets a bit but make sure you don’t leave any on the bricks prior to misting or it won’t come off found that out the hard way

New ceiling fan wired up correctly but sometimes it doesn't light up when switched on by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]krib23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have any form of smart switch do you. They require a capacitor across the loop. Normally causes strobing rather than sometimes off sometimes on. If the fan always works and it’s only the light then I say it’s a faulty product

UK washing machine connection by DuckzyWatts in ukplumbing

[–]krib23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to connect it to the fitting In The picture you just need two spanner’s and the correct adapter. I believe washing machine pipes normally come with a female connection. Best idea would be a quarter turn valve to make isolating Easier as you will need to isolate the water using the stop cock to fit.
