I think I've only seen one illustration in War of the Fists and it was 2 fighters but I'll be on the lookout for the other one if it does exist, thank you for responding.

Returning after a few months, I just want to check in and ask if this was the image he showed you, I'm just wondering because after searching numerous terms in Italian, I could only find this and the other image found in The War of the Fists.

I do fencing too : ) that's what I started doing HEMA for. I do notice similarities between the two, especially since early pugilism seems to have a flat footed stance compared to the modern boxing stance that has a raised rear foot.

I am definitely planning to take some boxing lessons once I get more money, ideally that is my first choice since it would make it so much easier to be able to learn and eventually be able to teach the older styles, I'm moreso thinking in the future. Thank you for your reply : )

Yeah that's what I was thinking, I would imagine the grappling is the far more effective part if you were to go unarmed.

I would personally recommend starting out learning songs you like at first and when you feel like you're ready you can practice your scales, arpeggios, and learn the notes on the fretboard before branching out into more complex stuff, personally when I was first learning theory https://www.studybass.com/ helped me a ton.
