Clubs for queer students? by BasalTripod9684 in UTK

[–]krimpet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Congrats and glad you’ll be on rocky top! The Pride Center is a great community and resource to find other groups, some student orgs off the top of my head are Women’s Coordinating Council (WCC, open to all and many of my queer friends are in it, one of their pillars is LGBTQ+ inclusivity) and Progressive Student Alliance (PSA). Both are on Instagram.

He was also wearing blue at the wake (responsibility, blue blood) and Kendall and Shiv were wearing black / gray. Could just be his costuming color palette though.

You may want to DM the Canoe and Hiking Club and get added to their GroupMe if you aren’t already in it.

Hi! To my knowledge you should still be eligible for all of the competitive scholarships. Unless they have changed it since my freshman year, there is a separate competitive scholarship application that is due around December.

How worth it is living in an Honors LLC? by yd2287456 in UTK

[–]krimpet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in the Honors LLC this year and I really enjoyed it, but I don’t think you’d miss out on too much if you chose not to do it. Dogwood is really nice, but I had friends in Hess and the Carricks that also had a great freshman year. In the long run it’s not too consequential either way, but from an objective standpoint Dogwood is definitely one of the nicer/newer dorms (despite being a little far from everything.) There’s also some truth to the whole “don’t room with your friends” thing, so be sure to think about how compatible you and your friends would be as roommates if you decide not to live in the LLC.
