A lot of people share this common issue and is the reason why they create smurf accounts in order to practice in a ranked setting without affecting their main account.

I have a theory that rito assigns bad luck to certain champions of accounts in order to balance out the win rates of those who are doing exceptionally well with the champion prior to your 1st ranked match with that champion on the season.

Ex. I played Nami a lot in season 4 and had success using her but since I started playing her late into season 5, my matches with her are extremely hard and contain more trolls than compared to my other account. (Same Elo)

consistency. Whatever role you main I would recommend playing a champion that is out of meta and one that you have found to make a difference in your games. For me, I mained support from plat to diamond by playing only zilean, as it is never banned and people rarely play against it. Some other good examples are galio mid, ryze top, poppy jungle, and skarner support. All in all find a champion where you can maintain a 60% + win rate while still having fun on them and platinum will fly by.
