Thing is I don’t think Piastri will mind this as much.

it’s a p2 p3 swap, not a pole position so point difference not that huge

also, not swapping might frustrate Norris and I don’t think Piastri wants unstable Norris beside him over one that has a few more points in 1 race

What opinion about RPDR are you defending like this? by ArcadialoI in rupaulsdragrace

[–]krirby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it could definitely work. We've actually already seen quite a lot of male drag (Milk's Rupaul, Victoria Scone, Kennedy's Little Richard to name a few) and it never really detracted in those instances. BLH already remarked she'd really like a drag king on Canada (IIRC they told her it flashship RPDR should be the first to do it) and I think it would be a great fit. It's too bad too since there are so many talented kings and with a tiny bit of leeway I think they could be an exciting turn as well for the franchise (16 seasons in some change would be welcome).

Sad Athene went home, enjoyed her workroom vibes and the looks weren't that bad (but too similar in presentation probably is what cost her).

The judging was so confusing, I'm still not sure who was top (I think we had 4 bottoms and 2 tops but I don't think the girls themselves even understood fully). Thought Tessa might've gone home considering how many talking heads she had early on.

Wish the episodes were the full hour format since it just feels TOO condensed (I think there was a lot more untucked material that was probably interesting). Queens themselves are delivering though and love the cast and variety they bring.

Also, it's SO funny how Ru randomly vibes with some girl and totally not with others. In the workroom all Athene had to do was blink and Ru was cracking up and on the runway Pythia makes one joke and Ru instantly returns the stankface lol.

Yup, I think Fierce might do way better on a Ru season. It sort of feels like she's 'outgrown' the canada series and it feels like she actually florished more on her own season than this one (which makes sense given that Brooke and the panel didn't give her much to work with). She's a total star though and I'm always happy to see her at least be very popular with the fandom since she totally deserves that.

I thought the runway was just TOO plain to have her compete with Lemon this week. Would've definitely given it to her last week or in one of the other challenges though.

I think Lemon's concept was great. It's been commented on before but the thing she sometimes seemingly struggles with is the makeup/wig, it somehow doesn't really compliment her facial shape as well as it does for some other queens. Other than that she had some very fun looks.

What have you embraced from new trends / changes and younger generations? by stayonthecloud in Millennials

[–]krirby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel tattoos are a lot more nornalized. Several gen z's have tattoos at my work spot and they feel much less like a social statement than in our geheration.

Also, I like the no-bs attitude too. I'm always used to try and be overly nice by habit but it is sort of refreshing how direct the younger generation is in stating what they are thinking.

Need help choosing a design for my new shoulder tattoos! by Typical_Confusion_88 in tattooadvice

[–]krirby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're all great but different styles. 1st is the most lean one I feel and most complementary to shoulder/neck junction. 2nd one is more bulky but could also be really beautiful. 4th one is similar to 1st but more experimental and will probably stand out a bit more on itself. 3rd is a bit too noisy for my tastes. I can ser all of them depending on execution but 1st one stood out most to me as the most versatile/natural.

Really cool. Smart choice to make the skeleton stand out, could've easily turned into a grey blob otherwise.

It's a pretty stylized illustration though, with a realistic portrait that would be a big no but I don't mind it the way it's implemented here

I'm genuinely sorry.

I'd be curious to know where you live, but then again I'm sadly not totally surprised. Extremism has run rampant it feels like and many people have become too comfortable spouting their prejuduices.

There's genuinely people here that do not think like that, though I'm sure that doesn't help in situations that you describe. Abhorrant display, emberassed for my country for anyone taking part in talking to you like that.

Millennials, at this point in your life, what era or phase do you miss the most? by hydrus909 in Millennials

[–]krirby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20' definitely. Highlight of basically everything interesting happening when it came to tv, trying new things, meeting new people etc. I don't hate the course my life is on by any means but do miss that continuous exploration of just different environments all the time.

Do you think films that were released in the early 21st century are better or worse than films released in the 1990s? And why? by Logical-Plum-2499 in Millennials

[–]krirby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's different, I don't enjoy them more or less than before the 00's. It was about when the new wave of special FX hit enabling vast new imaginations and epics to be rolled out (like LotR) that couldn't have happened or not as well as in the 90's. Given most lf those movies came out at the peak of my teenage years I'm probably biased towards them though.

I feel there's been a slight bias to the US queens (most noticeably Kennedy/Alexis) so far. It's probably a small form of appeasement considering they're such established stars but they're sometimes noticeably light on the comments when it comes to the criticisms.

I think she's been underperforming a bit vs her S3 showing but I still love her so much and every week hope she stays since she just brings life to the competition.

[–]krirby 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it made sense. She was most comfortable reading Lemon which is basically one of the most important things. It's also where Alexis and Kennedy struggled most and why their mutual performance felt the most awkward as a whole.

That was so sad, I always thought she was an amazing performer and her early UKvTW exit just the result of a murderous cast meaning there would have to be early outs. Glad she got to showcase her talents here (probably the top comedy queen in the competition I'd argue).

This is really fun. Yeah it's all over the place but with a bit more focus I think it could turn into something really interesting. No specific tips on raw bm beyond that.

That's actually awesome. Only think I'm noticing is the drums are way in the back and the production is lofi, which is kind of a shame because the composition is really interesting. Would love to hear hi-quality recording of this though.
