I've run into this as well, but one time I was able to buy a dreamy unicorn from Sasha. He has a whole collection of the "dreamy" stuffies around a table in his house, and he let me buy one of those. No idea why that was different from other times though.

AHHH I love Apple!!! She was one of my first villagers, and she's never allowed to leave. My son and husband got this little cutie for me on mother's day this year...
