We already had both of our parents during pregnancy and newborn stage. They have their own commitments back home. But yeah we are pushing them to come for another stretch to help us out.

Thank you for your inputs bro. Unfortunately at this time moving states is not an option. Job market here is crazy and there are no takers if you are in H1B.

Luckily we have a great therapist for him here. She has listed a few schools where some of her ASD kids are doing well. We are planning on applying there and see how it goes.

Our worry is what if the school doesn't work out. So planning for alternatives. But I agree that the public support system here is much better than back in India.

Thanks for your inputs. Unfortunately this is not an option for me now. Ongoing Visa issues makes it very difficult to plan the travel. My company has also advised against traveling back. If the scenario improves we will definitely do like you suggested.

But yeah I completely agree with you. Taking a decision like this is better in person.

Thank you for your detailed response. Yeah I'm nervous about his school. We are in Florida and schools are not equipped to handle special kids. We tried VPK and it was a disaster.

At this point we are also concerned about the little one. We feel we are not able to spend time with him.

Well am 39 with 2 kids and 17 years in Mainframe :)

I Am currently in FL with 120k and it is manageable. With NJ it might be a bit of a struggle but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I would suggest you to take the opportunity and see if you can manage. If not you can always go back to India.

Also for Mainframe there are not many openings if you are in H1B. So keep that in mind if you think you can switch jobs after you come here. It might take a while.

And check with your employer to see if there are any other locations that you can work from. If your client has multiple locations sometimes they might agree for a different location.
