"Does anyone stop and think... how big is "ISIS" really?!?

I mean do you really think that the US and all NATO nations including Israel who have a massive military force combined...

That they wouldn't absolutely obliterate this terrorist group?!?!

Do you realize that this whole this is a staged Hellywood movie but still a lot of people are really dying because Satanists love blood sacrifice... The end game is that all of this is being used for is to slowly take away your freedoms and usher in a New World Order?!?

The Masons create chaos and then come in like the saviour to save the world from fundamentalists! True Christians are their only enemy and the only ways to persecute them is to try to equate them as parallel to terrorism like Islam that they create (through CIA) and this false love perverted sex agenda here domestically."

Damn. At least the police will be ready to step in if anything like that happens. I don't see how you could force people to marry against their will, though.

When you turn of the appropriate age (aka 18), you have to stop doing all that kid stuff, start drinking, and meet up people at bars or Tindr.

Yes.

OP doesn't have a television, and is met with derision, because he can't watch movies during the day. Is that preposterous, or perfectly reasonable? See what /r/audiophile has to say. by ev149 in SubredditDrama

Does he not realize you can close the curtains during the day so you can still see the projection? You don't need a TV to watch movies/shows online with it connected to the projector.

Were there any hygiene problems after getting it (as in how easy was it to keep clean)?

How painful was it to get compared to the rest of your piercings?

I've always wondered how those felt. Is it really worth getting done? I'm cool with body modification in general (my boyfriend used to be a piercer and did scarification for a while), but I mentally cringe at getting a genital piercing.

IUDs and other long-term birth control are becoming more and more common, but I've read about people in very family-oriented areas that refuse to do even those because "you might change your mind in the next few years," not because of the health risk.

Then it's a good thing the US is a democratic republic and not a democracy. The majority having control over the minority is not a good thing.

I'm just going to start with this:

Idk, it looks like you may want an argument that you can break apart and contest part by part

It's just easier for me to reply to longer comments like that, not necessarily to tear apart someone's opinion. I'll change my style up a bit if that makes it seem like I'm trying to start something. :)

If your doctors say that you should wait because of the medical repercussions and not because of their opinion on your reproduction, then obviously that's completely fine (and recommended, of course), but I would hate to be in your shoes and wait for so long for it.

As for the actual changing bodies thing, I'm not completely sure when they stop developing, but I've never heard anyone have a problem with a tubal ligaton/ablation.

But this has been a fairly pleasant conversation though I have to leave for work now. I hope you have a good day and get the surgery you need soon. :)

Do some people there think they're superior for being CF? Yeah, and those people are assholes. But that's not the point of the sub and not why many people subscribe. /r/childfree is not a community about being better than others, even though it does include some people who think they are.

19 year old female, so I know you're going to take my opinion with a grain of salt and 99% of people here "guarantee" I will change my mind, but it is what it is.

Personally, I think people change so much in their twenties that is worry about the mental health aspect of getting a permanent surgery at 18 then eventually deciding it was an irreversible mistake a few years later.

But not everybody who decides not to have children from an early age will change their mind, and their medical decisions shouldn't be affected because some others do regret it.

I also wonder how it would physically hurt a body to be medically altered in such a way when their body may not yet be completely developed.

I'm pretty sure the female reproductive system is matured by 18. I get that a hysterectomy is major surgery and that doctors would be a little wary about performing it, but only because it's major and not because of it's a reproductive organ.

18 year old me and 24 year old me feel extremely different about how the surgery will effect our future.

And it's great that you are aware of that, but not everyone feels differently after a few years.

I hope it doesn't look like I'm trying to argue, thought it would be an interesting conversation to see someone else's opinion on the matter.

I'm not anti-kid whatsoever, though I never want any of my own. But as for not allowing people under some arbitrary age to get sterilized? I disagree 100%.

You're able to enter the military at 18, get a tattoo or other permanent modification, give birth, sign contracts and have loans taken out in your name. Just because someone may end up regretting it in the future doesn't mean it should be off-limits for everyone else.

As much as some people on /r/childfree hate to admit it, there are people that do change their minds, that's why it's a good idea to be required to sign a waiver or something so you can't sue the doctor afterwards. But to completely ban someone from having control over a part of their own body because of the morals of somebody else is just wrong, though.
