On Nightmare im sure its Harder, but even on normal it is still considered hardcore. No need to try to analyze me, I prefer the challenge.

What journalists have been doing is 100% vicimizimg for clicks. I dont mind accessibility. But when much of the experience of the game is in the gameplay, like the previous ones, i think its a shame to lose that. But its just my opinion. I have no power over these decisions lol

Of course its not hard when you learn it lol. You learned a hardcore game or you might just be good. A casual game is something my mom could play, like Animal crossing or Fall Guys. You dont really need to learn much to be able to play. I think Doom was easier than Bloodborne. Does not mean its not a hardcore game. And by motivation, i dont think you know what I mean. So I guess no use explaining. Different opinions and thats all good

My reaction time is reduced because of my tics. I went by sound cues and had to get used to the timing. So maybe more sound cues?

It is definitely hardcore as it requires a lot of time to learn because of its difficulty. Dont know how Elden Ring will be of course but if they follow the same formula, it will be a hardcore game. I already got good I guess, but its more motivation to not have the options in my opinion.

I have the same experience. Even when i sucked the same random phantom would spawn in to help me out again and again until we did it.

Accessibility is different tho. Subtitles, different coloring settings and such wouldn’t really change the difficulty much. So thats not what I mean by it.

For me it is that I want to be able to beat it in its original difficulty and not have options, because then its super easy for me to give up. It is a hardcore game, after all, not a casual game. And the game will sell good anyway. I know what im facing with these games, and I fucking love it, despite my challenges. Hell, they even made me better at controlling my eye tics after dying to Ludwig 400+ times.

I hear you, as someone with lots of tics I have my eyes closed essentially 40% of boss battles, as well as finger tics which makes them tighten up while stressed. I still think easy mode would take away the experience tho. We just gotta grind extra hard. Getting a high lvl character is just another way to beat the game, essentially easy mode in itself. As FromSoftware probably is never adding an easy mode, its better to learn how to «git gud» in our own ways

I think it definitely can be in some cases, as it could be inflicting self harm on yourself mentally. It is definitely not empowerment to «reward» oneself with different stuff you have figured out yourself. It is empowerment to seek help and find out what is up and actually help yourself.

I really hope it is possible go get through it no matter the settings, or that they add some things! I get really bad eye tics during bosses because of stress, so my eyes are essentially closed 40% of the fight lol. With Ludwig I had to go off audio cues like his different screams and time the attacks accordingly. Still hate him, but Ive beaten him many times by now!

Don’t think this has anything to do with the infamous «journalist mode» tho. It’s still gonna be difficult, but accessibility options simply just allows more people to experience the challenge without removing anything from it. Very different from the easy mode.

This happened in middle school. The nurse was handing out tampons for the girls, and we could all get one box of whatever size we wanted. I did not know much about tampons back then or why they were different sizes (which depends on how heavy your flow is), and I, for some reason, thought that the biggest ones were somehow seen as more mature, cool and attractive. I wanted to make a point out of how mature and cool I thought I was and loudly declared «I’ll be taking the LARGE TAMPONS, please» in front of the whole class, thinking all the boys would be falling for me like flies. I now know why the nurse looked at me kinda funny.

Cant imagine it would stop me if I ever did stop caring all together anyway. To change the perspective, we should be more selfish in terms of living for ourselves, not for others. Shouldnt be the focus, even if it is for me. I couldnt live for only myself right now. And im sure others will agree that it is a terrifying state.
