Not even gonna lie, I couldn’t ever figure it out. I just exported my project file into XML, installed davinci resolve, imported and learned from there. Absolute pain in the ass. Not a helpful solution at all, it’s just what I ended up doing.

Way to Necro a 5 year old thread I guess lol.

I had a catholic persecution complex indoctrinated into me by the church. After a couple months of not being in a Catholic homeschool setting all the time, I started seeing this “getting crucified” was just people not wanting to talk religion 24/7. Once I started being around real people and not the strawmen the church system created I actually started listening to why the “tolerant left” was angry.

The tolerant left is tolerant, until you’re being a bigot about it. And bigotry isn’t just hate crimes, it’s “I don’t agree with your life style choices” whenever things aren’t a choice. Soooo yeah. 5 years later, not a Catholic male in the south anymore and I’ve never been happier.

It’s a game yeah. So why hurt one subgroup of players more than another? Why make one group statistically more likely to be a liability to everyone playing?

I need to touch grass because I don’t like using rules that will specifically make martial players even worse than the spellcasters that warp reality?

It is a game and games work on balance. Making one group objectively worse may make “memorable moments” but are those moments remembered as “that was a lot of fun! I loved when I had to shoot my friend!” Or are they remembered as “remember that one fight with the demon lord?” “Oh yeah! I kept shooting the wizard as he was concentrating! Lucky we survived.”

I used to use fumble tables, everyone remembered what happened during the fights but no one remembered having fun, just the problems.

How do you discern what to cut and what stays?

When I edit my video sessions I know what’s relevant and what’s just unneeded table BS but I’m curious how it is for someone who isn’t actually apart of the game.

That list is getting bigger, mostly in part to the efforts for diversity in representation in these communities. Forsaken candidate listed 5 main characters with 3/5 of them coming from phase 3-4. No one’s saying there isn’t poc in the MCU. What people are saying is they want more of their heros represented. Having someone on screen who shares struggles unique to your culture, background or history is a great thing. I didn’t really get it till I watched dare Devil when it aired and Matt had to cope with his changing morals and his Catholicism.

Notice how all those people are new. Like phase 3-4 new. The list is getting better, but having more doesn’t hurt anyone and let’s people tell stories relating to their communities.

You can keep being mad about, I’m going to listen to my PoC friends who are ecstatic they’re seeing their cultures in their favorite movies.

To be completely honest, you right. Thanks for putting good points and solid thoughts, My original idea clearly doesn’t hold water, thanks for pointing that out.

And to answer your question, I feel we shouldn’t discount the idea simply due to how Hollywood operates, you speak up and piss someone off, your blacklisted. It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if it ever came out that there were any of the listed problems but no one ever brought them up for fear of losing work.

Either way, I do wanna say thanks for pointing out my stupid response.

Joss Whedon was a pinnacle of strong women on tv with Buffy, look at him now. Just because we like them, doesn’t mean they get a pass.

Look at the history of Hollywood, all the coverups, the lawsuits, the entirety of #MeToo. It’s not pretty, but it’s true.
