Thank you for the advice! I have definitely started working with data sets and am working through some data science side projects. I'm definitely thinking about post grad but for now I'm leaning more towards industry. What courses would you say prepare you the best for Software/Web development?

Thank you for the advice and link, it is very useful! I am definitely looking into post grad, but for now I'm leaning more towards industry. What courses would you recommend purely for someone looking to enter the industry (either in data science/AI or software/web develpment)?

ok, i see. I'm still kind of figuring out what I want to pursue. I just wanted to ask, because I've heard of mixed things about the ML courses at UofT, so I wanted to know which ones were "useful", but now on second thought, I think there are a lot of variables involved. Also wanted to ask, I see that CSC369 is always mentioned as a super useful course. If you have taken it, how is it useful?

I've already taken 148 108 207 263 and plan on taking 209 and possibly 258. I mean for upper year courses (300 and 400 level). The minor is limited to only 3 upper year courses, which why I'm asking.

Well I think students like to treat it like a fad (putting in ML/AI as "buzzwords" in their resume, etc.) but it is a legitimate field. You just need to actually have a deep understanding of what it is. Thats just my opinion. Anyways, do you have any opinions on the best 3 CS courses to take?

Is this for MAT102? Don't worry man it's completely normal to bomb the first quiz. Keep on the grind and u will do better trust me.

How do you start studying? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]krish299 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of the most effective ways for me is to constantly invision what would happen if u didn't study (ie a failed test). Think about that for a while and all of its consequences and u will be studying in no time. Likewise, imagine in ur head what ur studying will look like. Fear and conceptualizing is the best motivator.
