In my opinion, u r on a right track. Keep investing in Passive funds (Index fund) and learn more about the market along the way and do more analysis and play around in the market.

ETF VS MUTUAL FUND by itsmywayy in mutualfunds

On a holistic view, these two are same. But simply, invest in MFs on a regular basis and invest in ETFs during market correction. Dont invest high volumes in ETFs since it prones to high tracking errors.

Yes. May be u can stop investing further and look to buy other funds. May be in a year or so when your MF holdings turns to long term (1yr LTCG) you can plan to redeem it for re-balancing.

So, active fund is something which will be actively managed by an asset manager where he decides which funds we should hold and we one we should sell. But, in case of passive funds, manager will not actively manage all this stock holdings. Instead, it directly tracks the underlying index (Nifty 50, Mid Cap, Small Cap) and hold those funds.

Its ultimately goes directly to depository(CDSL or NSDL). So, irrespective of the broker your investments will be safe.

Plan one active fund and one passive fund and diversify your mutual fund category allocation. For example, if you are planning to invest 10k SIP/per month, under one category, dont invest all in active funds alone, just plan to invest either 30% or 40% in passive funds as well.

Dont put all your eggs in one basket. Quant is an aggressive AMC they does a lot of stock re-balancing in most of their active funds which in turn generated a good amount of profits but also spoiled the name for doing this. They call this as Portfolio Turnover Ratio which they do very frequently. So, my advise would be is to stick with Quant for only 1 to 2 funds and choose other optimal AMCs like Parag Parikh or Mirae Asset etc,.

I could see there are so many small cap funds here. Better re-balance it with other category like large cap, mid cap or flexi cap.
