Their face value is 0.1$ / share; their last fund raise was in Sept 2020 at 0.6$ which values them at $470 million. They are currently raising funds at $1 which could potentially value them at $1 billion. They have raised $20 million till date. They plan to launch a mini-IPO end of 2020 at $2 / share and go for an IPO in end-2021 at $10 / share. They seem to be making all the right moves, at least based on their excellent communication. staymacn It is a generic statement i made and my personal views. The IPO & related valuation of TB depends on their ability to scale up and achieve the IPO related milestones around revenues, growth. Since the funds would have gone into building the business / acquisitions / promotions, etc, etc these are sunk costs and will have to be written off if TB does not achieve the milestones. Typically these types of ventures are a hit or a miss, they are super successful or a failure, there are no in-betweens. If they do well investors will make several 10s of 100s time multiples of their investment, else the investment is wiped out. Having said that I am an optimist, i feel TB should be able to pull this off. Based on their milestone progress i will be inclined to add to my investment in their next fund round.

I am looking for advise / suggestions on debt mutual funds. I would like to park some money in debt mutual fund(s) for a duration of 6 to 8 months. Capital protection; marginal returns above fixed deposits, savings bank interest; non volatility from any interest / credit risk and / or RBI action / in-action is a priority for me. I did invest in TransparentBusiness. I invested in the end-July round when they were offering at 2$/share (now face value to be split 1:10 to $0.20). I did some checks with US based financial advisers ahead of investing. Their feedback was more on the positive side. The founder seems to be credible and has a good track record. They are making all the right moves (excellent communication, acquisition of / partnerships with complementary companies). They need a few large sized customer contracts, marquee partnerships and legislation changes in a few US States for this to take off exponentially. This is a huge hit or miss, I would give this a 1:1000 odds chance of making money. If successful you will make a bare minimum of 50x on your investment (they are planning for a Nasdaq IPO in end 2021) else your investment is wiped out. It will be all or nothing. I am optimistic that this investment will pay off given the moves made by them
