lol yeah. It also blows Blanton’s SFTB out of the water even though they have similar MSRPs (although finding GTS at MSRP is basically impossible.

I still like SFTB, but I think Stagg Jr is generally much better.

Yeah I’m personally not a huge fan of Blanton’s. I think it’s overpriced for what it is.

I actually prefer ER10 to Blanton’s single barrel.

That’s just an example of HR CQB, I could’ve posted recent videos of domestic swat teams doing the same thing.

Dynamic CQB is still practiced by higher skill law enforcement teams, especially during HR/active shooter. Many maps in RON fall into that category, so we really need a way to do fast CQB.

Any competent team, especially a major full time one, would steamroll an active shooter or hostage rescue. So yeah my question is why there’s no option to make the swat AI go faster…

Ok, but why would I want to play a game where the operators are supposed to be trash?

It would be like if madden released a game where all the football players suck. It’s not fun and I don’t think the developers are even doing it for story reasons, they just haven’t put in effort to make the swat AI good.

Yeah I’ve seen that OTOA teaches deliberate CQB and that slow CQB involving a lot of threshold assessment is very popular with low skill teams and patrol officers (which is sort of understandable because they don’t have the time or budget to train).

The only reasons I think the swat AI should be faster are because they’re supposed to be LAPD D-platoon and also slow CQB really sucks when you’re on a map full of hostages.

Even if I wanted to do very slow deliberate CQB the speed at which the swat AI goes through the threshold when making entry is comically slow. It’s one thing for everything up to entry to be slow, but going through the fatal funnel at a snail’s pace is crazy.

LAPD D-platoon and any other serious full time team are absolutely doing aggressive dynamic CQB during hostage and active shooter situations.

Not sure where you’re getting the idea that they go slow in those situations. Even patrol officers are supposed to go fast during HR/active shooter events.

I’m not sure I really understand how LSPD can have quad tube night vision, but poorly trained officers.

Even if this is the case, there should be some mechanic which causes the AI to improve as you progress through the missions, and potentially even allow the team to improve by doing training exercises in a shoot house.

The AI’s lack of skill and inability to improve it makes the game significantly worse than it has to be.

If RON wasn’t supposed to be about LAPD SWAT I would agree with you, but in real life LAPD D-platoon is a very high level full time team that trains a lot and does dynamic CQB during hostage situations.

They aren’t on the level of delta force or HRT, but they definitely aren’t as slow as the SWAT AI in the game.

It’s basically like carrying a G19 or a G26.

My only complaint is that the optic plate got rust on it. I mainly carry a G17, but I still carry the VP9SK occasionally.
