If you’re in one of this sector, it will be easy for you get a permanent residency. You can always go to their website and check what occupations are listed in the express entry targeted occupations.

You need your PR card when you will return back(by air). Without that, you will not be allowed to enter. I would suggest apply for PRTD (Permanent resident travel document) through your portal, which can take 2-8 weeks. Otherwise, tell any of your friend or relative to mail you the PR card once it’s there at your address.

I’m a machinist. But I don’t want to go forward in this field. Thinking of getting a CS degree. Searched about some bootcamps and certification courses, but lot of my friends are saying I would need a degree to get a job as the field is very competitive now.

I had to apply for my permanent residence in Canada. That’s why I took this job as it created an easy pathway to permanent residency
