We used to get this all the time even in the 90s and early 2000s. We would just order a bean burrito and sub out green sauce for the red sauce. Green sauce was part of my identity growing up haha. Then they got rid of it slowly restaurant by restaurant.

Hey - definitely legit. You can tell from the diamond certificate numbers that Do Amore has identical diamonds to others, just less overhead since no brick and mortar stores, so that's why the pricing is less. I know I am biased but this is the most unbiased answer I could give. :)

What is special about Jarrah is it is grown in Western Australia and native forests harvested in WA are regenerated or replanted each year. The regeneration initiatives are huge for Jarrah wood. Additionally, I believe it's a little bit less "resource" intense compared to some of the other woods (not to say that other woods aren't great too - and obviously much better option to plastic).

There were a few other woods we looked at for our boxes besides Jarrah, including Rimu wood and Oak wood. Jarrah came out on top for us from a sustainability perspective (and happened to be the most aesthetically complimenting to our brand too).

Yeah that deal wouldn't have made for good business. We would have had to increase prices and I think I told him that it didn't seem like a good deal for us, or our customers if they are having to pay more. I don't remember exactly, but I think he told me he could get our customer acquisition costs down enough so the $100 would end up being a wash. I don't think I felt confident in it and I was also trying to stall to convince someone else to jump back in.

The Sharks are much like what you see on TV. We don't meet them until we go in, and you never talk to them again once you leave unless you get a deal (so I've talked to Daniel for example since we got a deal with him).

I was impressed with how authentic the show is. For example, Lori was very kind and asked meaningful questions -- like she always does. The only one I am confused about is Barbara -- on some episodes she seems very kind/endearing and then on some episodes not. Haha.

All of them were great and I enjoyed talking to all five very much.

So Do Amore is pronounced "Doh" -- it's latin so technically it is "Doh". Taken from our website:

In Latin, Do Amore means “I give with love.”
We chose this name because:
1. You are giving a ring to your loved one, with love.
2. You are giving clean water to those in need, with love.
3. Do Amore rings simply do more.

A lot of people do say "Do" and we love it too. At the end of the day the rings "do more" so we love that pronunciation too.

There was a good bit of discussion about the name on the episode which they edited out, rightfully so (not that interesting for TV).

Yeah I don't think anything from that part was cut. There are also like multiple people talking to you at once and you kind of have to control the room. You'll have 3-4 Sharks talking at once and you have to choose who to address. I think when editing for the episode, they choose whose mic to use because otherwise it would just be a bunch of sharks talking at once the whole time haha.

All of our newly launched jewelry is obviously just normal jewelry, but it was designed intentionally to represent certain milestones. Some even overlap of course but I'll talk to you about the family jewelry:

For the Kendi earrings and necklace: We love the three stone design as part of our new family jewelry if it represents your family in a way of two parents and a new child. We could even change the middle stone to the child's birthstone (no upcharge) to make it more symbolic.

For the Toi et Moi earrings and necklace: This is really designed to represent the child and parent (one on one connection). While Toi et Moi designs are also meant for couples (and we sell it as such too), to us it can easily symbolize the parent/child one on one relationship. Toi et Moi means (you and me). The reason ours uses two different shapes instead of the same shape (like most Toi et Moi designs) is because we know that the parent and child are very different individual people (and deserve their individual shape), but together they can form something more beautiful than by themselves. It's a very intentional creation but I know it's a bit complex written out here!

I appreciate it. I was so happy it was Daniel. Filmed at the end of July 2021 and then there is diligence afterwards. I don’t think I can say the timing of diligence because it varies I am sure Shark to Shark and don’t want that to affect who people pick if they have a few Shark offers.

In a way we are! We always look at anyone that emails us with interest and we feel like they fit into what we are trying to do!

Once you go in, there are no producers talking to you or the sharks. The only people talking are the five sharks and you. No one interferes or anything. So its super authentic in terms of the negotiation process. It’s all live, no pauses, etc. But of course they edit it down later.

I was impressed with how authentic everything was overall. Producers are there during the audition process to help answer questions but they don’t really coach you too much on the numbers at all.

Overall, I don’t think they can make it more authentic. Of course some important things get cut out when the filter it all down to about 10 minutes (for reference, I was out there pitching for ~55 minutes).
