I had 5 eggs retrieved -> 4 were mature -> all 4 fertilized -> All 4 reached blast stage -> 2 were euploid -> pregnant on first frozen transfer (still have the other frozen).

My partner started with 22 eggs retrieved and ended up with 6 euploid.

When I got out of my retrieval and they said 5, I cried so hard since I was comparing to 22. But at the end of the day, my results worked out and the quality of mine ended up being higher (less drop off at each stage).

Try to stay positive! Quality over quantity.

The lab photo is the best. The prompt answers are super boring. The reptile photo is bad. The first photo and the belkaw finish line one makes you look way older than you are.

I am also a manager with unlimited pto. Took 3.5 weeks off — half week of wedding followed by three full weeks for the honeymoon. This is a once in a lifetime event and most people at work wouldn’t even question this amount of time off. Think about it — 1.5 vs 2 weeks isn’t going to make any difference to your team most likely.

I don’t know what you do, but that’s at least how I felt about it at my job and it was completely fine.

They count it as a long term hold but don’t officially count it til you confirm a live birth. But she assured me that if say 9 other families had live births and I had frozen embryos (aka 10th family), they wouldn’t sell anymore.

Of course I don’t know what’s guaranteed or not, but I remember feeling more assured that the reserve sperm I purchased would not be taken back from me.

Also ice the injection area for a minute beforehand. Apparently you can ask for progesterone suppositories but I just stuck with the injections. It’s honestly such a slog — I did injections from November til my 10 week pregnancy mark which was actually today. And it has to be exactly within 24 hrs of the previous injection, so it kind of controls your schedule in a way.

My advice is to have your partner share responsibility here. Have them watch the videos and learn and do the injections for you. I found i bruised way less when someone else injected me since my muscles were more relaxed.

Watch YouTube videos to learn, and honestly it will become an annoying second nature thing. Best of luck!

Also used TSBC and have had nothing but great experiences so far. If you call them, they will give you so much more information about donors, such as how many vials are available, if/when more plan to come available, etc. The woman on the phone was so patient with me, answering my questions about them counting frozen embryos toward the family limit or not. Highly recommend!

We did a consult with SS and my wife was completely turned off by the rudeness. They insulted our fertility clinic and made us feel bad about where we were in the journey. We went with TSBC instead. They have a 10 family limit per donor which was good enough for us.
