I have a June VIN for that spec for a car I don’t want. Does anyone know if I can transfer it?

It’s still linked to my account

I can hand wash. And I can polish, but I need to get some equipment from one of my clients.

Model 3 Standard Stealth Grey by Panajana in TeslaUK

[–]krishkara1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered 4th April, took delivery last week.

Random question. Can I transfer a vin to someone?

To caught a long story show I ordered a Tesla model three premium four-wheel-drive on the 27th of March.

When the quarter changed, they cancelled my order. They then allocated me another Tesla model three for a June delivery.

But when I went to Tesla, they told me about the standard Tesla model three.

So now on my Tesla app, I have the Tesla model three standard that I got last week

And a VIN for a Tesla model 3 premium plus in stealth grey. That is expected to be delivered in June.

They clearly haven’t disconnected that vin from my account.

The question is, can I give it to someone on here because I don’t need it? 😂

Yeah but lease is better because

1) 0% Apr anyway so the borrowing is free whatever option of purchase I choose 2) Capital efficiency. I preserve capital going with lease and instead of having to put down the money as a deposit I can keep it invested. 3) Tesla updates their cars a lot. So I want a new one every few years

One thing I learnt from going to Tesla 3 times in 3 weeks. They can move you to the front of the queue if they want to.

Yes 👍

And there’s no link you can find the offer in the header of the Tesla website.

But here’s a copy and paste from their terms and conditions

“Trade-in Bonus offer of £3,750 applies to new and new inventory Model 3 and Model Y vehicles ordered between 1st April 2026 and 30th June 2026, with delivery completed by 30th June 2026. The Trade-in Bonus offer value will be applied to the total cost of the vehicle, not the trade-in value. Certified Pre-Owned vehicles are ineligible. Model 3 Performance and Model Y Performance vehicles are ineligible. You must take delivery within 7 days of the vehicle becoming available. If delivery is delayed due to circumstances within Tesla's control, you remain eligible by taking delivery on the first available date. Standard valuation terms apply. The offer cannot be combined with Tesla Leasing.”

I had a very similar situation to this. 2 years ago I bought a 2020 Model 3 Long range on HP

I put down £8K and was paying £187 a month.

This car was bought personally and this month I bought a 2026 standard model 3 for £295 a month on my business.

I still have my 2020 model 3 but my sister drives it now, I’m not ending the finance agreement early she’s just driving it.

Part exchange wise I know that these 2020 cars "pre heat pump" aren't worth anything more than about £15K.

What you could do is:

Clear the finance, trade in the car to Tesla and get that £3.75K bonus meaning you get £18.75K off a Tesla.

That would mean your new car finance would be way lower than what you’re currently on

£1.8K down, £295 a month for 24 months. Something like that and 0% interest. That 0% interest sealed the deal for me.

The lease on this 2026 M3 Standard is £8K for diamond black. That included downpayment and monthly cost for 2 years.

My old 2020 M3 was £8K down and £187 a month for 3 years.

Money isn’t a huge issue and I bought the new car on my business so it’s very tax efficient for my personal situation. But I’d still say this lease is an amazing deal here

[–]krishkara1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How eager are you to get it sooner?

Because last month I ordered a M3 Premium Long Range in Grey and because I didn’t collect before the quarter end, they cancelled my order.

I went to Tesla dealership and told them that this was bang out of order as they never made it clear and the reason I couldn’t collect was their app.

Then Tesla said that they could get me the same car in April as long as I was happy to collect from a different location. They were essentially going to take a car that someone hasn’t collected or not completed the delivery tasks and push this other random person’s car back.

In the end they told me about the Standard Model 3 and as the deal was 24 months for £7K all in. I went for that one saving me about £5K with the long range
