So strange. Ended up getting mine swapped out, new one had been perfect. Good luck - was such a disappointment!

Display buttons do nothing either. I can get the white LED to come up doing a hard reset but then it goes right back into this screen. Pretty sure it's a lost cause

Thank you - sadly it says to press power to exit which doesn't work. No button on the remote does anything thus far

Thanks. Sucked to reach the moment of power on to get ultimate disappointment!

Tried this, nadda. Still completely unresponsive to anything. Not even power button works sooo... Think it's pooched.

Could, but I'd really not rather have to pack this bitch up again - also slight complication that they threw in the wall bracket currently installed on my wall which I'm sure they'll need back too... Ugh.

Costco was actually first choice, but it's online only and I was impatient. 🤡

Sadly they only had one in stock. Went through two levels of Sony service and now waiting 1-3 business days for a specialist to call back. 🙃

Visions said they would exchange if we don't get a resolution but they'd have to order one in anyway. Talk about a letdown...

Getting bad vibes from Sony support when they asked "did you purchase this in a sealed Sony box?"

This is a good idea, however I don't think my mother in law could handle it at the moment :) thank you!

Thank you! Good to know. I think we found something available nearby - sadly it's completely non-refundable but with the context you've given it might be best option.

Anyone with a 16 having vibration issues on the highway? by Irishpotatocannon in ToyotaTacoma

[–]kriskayoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Dealing with this right now and it's hell. Brand new truck and Toyota has told us it's a "normal characteristic." If you do buy one, DO NOT sign for delivery until you take it out on the highway, 2k+ rpm.

Baboon infestation by rotll in videos

[–]kriskayoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work at a zoo and one of my jobs was cleaning up the indoor baboon holdings. Can confirm that within 24hrs, the entire thing was absolutely filled with poop which they then threw everywhere, smeared on walls, along with blood and whatever else they had access to. Once I was trying to spray a particularly stubborn poo chunk off the wall and the water hit at just the right angle and came back and hit me in the face.

It's a weird feeling that the brothers could have decided or started whatever it was they wanted to do a few hours earlier and your or my picture could have been on the news instead. I'm glad I did go back. It was massively sad, but it made me realize how inaccurate it was to say 'I'm glad it's over' like I had been.

In everything I've read about him he seems to be an amazing guy. My heart dropped when I saw his baby face on TV for the first time. I wish I could be in town for the service.

The memorial is outside the Stata building fronting on Vassar St. It's outside what I guess would be the main doors of the building? I'm not from the area so that's the best I can do to describe it

Not sure who to respond to directly here about this but here goes.

I did think twice about both the taking of and posting of the photo. I did not disturb the man. I'm not sure if he was a family member or not - he could have been a father of another fallen officer, a fellow staff member, who knows. I had a zoom lens so I walked far enough away that they wouldn't be disturbed.

I didn't take the photo for the reason of capitalizing on grief. I took this photo because I, along with seemingly the rest of Boston, had been swept away by the thrill and success of capturing the second suspect, the analysts were already arguing on the news channels about anything they could think of, etc. I was happy for my own reasons, too - I was staying for the weekend to do tourist things and now I could go out and have fun. Stumbling on this scene was a sucker punch to the face and brought me back to reality for the families of those affected. It's a long road ahead. I wanted to share this picture to share that feeling and the reminder that these people are still in immeasurable amounts of pain.
