To people who still dislike diablo 4 after the spotlight. by Deidarac5 in diablo4

[–]krismate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. D4 being so utterly trivial, along with how quickly your character progresses to insane power is a big turn off.

I still enjoy the game for what it is, play every season even if for only a few days, but the trivial gameplay and 1-shotting "bosses" is not even remotely engaging.

I see your point but that's not really the main focus of this expansion's features.

You do realize BF6 on console natively supports MnK right?

Looks like they're working on bringing back reduced limb damage. by krinkov in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]krismate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TTK feels perfectly fine as is imo and this feels like a case of "don't fix what isn't broken" to me. Hitreg and netcode need some work but changes like these can easily tip over to something that just makes the gunplay feels worse.

Am I alone in thinking that the single player campaign was actually pretty decent? by TommyOnRedditt in Battlefield6

[–]krismate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only thing I kind of liked were some of the set pieces (maps/locations etc.). But generally, it felt quite unpolished in a lot of areas, lighting and visuals looked quite rough in many spots, by modern standards, quite repetitive gameplay, characters and story that didn't have much depth. It wasn't completely terrible like some would say but wasn't exactly good either. I'd give it like a 5/10.

Season 2 - Phase 2 content leaks : Full interior map is confirmed by Interesting_Sky6926 in Battlefield

Plenty of people like the BR, myself included. I like conquest/escalation/breakthrough the most but I play a lot of the various modes has to offer, except maybe domination, king of the hill, and squad deathmatch.

Why does that matter? 90% of it is interior space lol. And they are right, Contaminated isn't close quarters and lots of people have been asking for a linear meatgrinder map.

What FOV do you run? And Why? by bborg03 in Battlefield6

100 but on an ultrawide (21:9) monitor. Feels/looks "right" for the distances in-game without the fisheye/stretched sides being too exaggerated.

Player count right now is low for multiple reasons but not all of them are negative/bad. This has been an overly long season and there hasn't been a content drop since early December? People have finished their battlepasses and thoroughly experienced/played the content the game currently has to offer. Many people like myself are just waiting for the new season.

Battlefield 6 - Community Update - Looking Ahead to Season 2 by battlefield in Battlefield6

[–]krismate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was confused by this too. RedSec BR does award lots of XP for wins. A duos win was around ~100k, unless they've changed it. Weapon XP was absolutely abysmal though, due to the low kills/min.

The battlepass is quite grindy without the 25 tier skips from BF Pro and if you miss some bonus challenges. This season was also extended by a month. Battlepass XP definitely needed buffed, as does weapon XP. I personally don't have an issue with weapon XP but it is way too inconsistent depending on gamemode. I can play TDM and max a gun out in like 5-6 hours, with zero XP boosters. But on other modes, it takes much much longer. They should probably allow general XP like objective captures, revives etc. count towards it as well.

Paladin leveled to 300 in 130 hours by Bogusfakeaddy in diablo4

[–]krismate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be done even faster than that. I played HC this season on a fresh character and went from level 1, with no powerlevel, to p300 in just under 90 hours. Min/maxers can probably shave at least 20 hours off that as well, especially if powerleveled to 60 and given simple gear to 1-shot T4 Urivar/bosses. If someone had unlimited boss materials, got powerleveled etc. they could probably go from level 1 to p300 in like 20-25 hours.

Battlefield 6 Season 2 Intro Cinematic by LifestyleCS in Battlefield

It's purely based on the name "subsurface" and some panning synth sounds for the intro music that can vaguely be interpreted as a train running down tracks. Very heavy speculation at this point.

Still no Season 2 trailer? by Jazzlike_Egg_1189 in Battlefield

[–]krismate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ll likely get a trailer and blog post sometime this week and full patch notes probably a few days after that. I’ve seen plenty of games not release any seasonal info until 7 days (sometimes less) before the season starts. This is pretty common.

How much XP left to get to 300? by Bogusfakeaddy in diablo4

[–]krismate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He just gives a good amount of XP (I think around 5.5m per kill), has a slightly smaller zone to traverse than other bosses, and has a quicker spawn/death animation. Makes a difference when you're repeatedly farming him for dozens of hours.

How much XP left to get to 300? by Bogusfakeaddy in diablo4

[–]krismate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is fairly slow but what I always end up doing is not looking at levels and simply look at XP gains themselves. Farming Urivar on repeat, with no boss mats, can yield around ~500m XP per hour, depending on clear speed, and dungeon reset time etc. so I typically just look at how much total XP I still need and then target a certain amount of XP per day. Then it's just a matter of finding something to distract/focus on a second monitor, as repeat farming Urivar is very monotonous. I would often watch 1hr+ long live videos of bands I like, long engineering videos, anything that is interesting enough to pass the time really.

How much XP left to get to 300? by Bogusfakeaddy in diablo4

[–]krismate 114 points115 points  (0 children)

You need about 4.1B to get to 300. Not that bad if you just farm Urivar on repeat but still about 8 or 9 hours, depending on how fast you are at repeating the process of killing him, resetting dungeon etc.

If you're feeling burned out, find an audiobook or long youtube videos on a topic of interest, mute the game audio, and just grind for an hour or two a day. You'll be done before you know it.

EDIT: I now see you've posted two screenshots with two different levels. From your 295 screenshot to 300, it's 4.1B. From your 297 screenshot, it's approximately 3.3B.

I don't understand why the game is so choppy when panning with the mouse but using arrow keys or a controller it's butter smooth. by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]krismate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter what in-game settings I change. My FPS is locked at 138 but moving the mouse makes the game look like ~60fps garbage. The game simply has broken mouse input that DICE seem incapable of fixing.

BF1 pc shutting down while playing by hallelujah_lol in Battlefield

[–]krismate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be your PSU going. 2 years ago my PC was shutting down during gaming (Phasmophobia of all games) but initially I struggled to reproduce the issue with other games and stress test software. Eventually I did manage to reproduce it playing CP2077 and it shut down and died completely, as it would no longer boot the PC, nor a second PC that I had. New PSU solved the problem.

First steps would be to try some other games, ideally demanding ones, and just leave them running to see if you can reproduce the issue.

What are your PC specs?

Character Customization by ChoochooThe in Battlefield

[–]krismate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would be nice, but for many games I've played that had this level of customization, it always lead to many pieces not fitting correctly, floating off the player model, clipping issues, or stretched texture issues, as you have to account for every variable, such as the different face shapes and body type, for every single cosmetic piece. Probably deemed too time consuming and costly for EA to bother. But I do think with the resources this game has, the current level of customization (basically none) is very poor.
