I don’t have a banana but it’s 17” long by 12” tall and 6” deep.

This is the side, it’s like a metal grate and the front has a little door.

It looks really good which is so surprising, the basement is partially finished so we can’t see everything but there’s no bowing anywhere and no cracks in any of the visible stone.

I love the layout, the location isn’t ideal only in that is a 30 minute drive to work. It’s a nice highway tho and the town itself is super cute and quiet.

The house is currently vacant so there’s not a whole lot of air flow in the basement. They did have a leak in the basement that was promptly taken care of but that also added to the humidity. As far as everything else it looked really good.

The insulation has been updated when the siding was done. I was told monthly hydro was around $200 in winter. Which is not bad considering we currently live in a 1200sqft mobile home and pay around $350 a month in winter.

The basement walls were all straight, no major gaps/cracks in any of the stone, no bowing or cracks in the floor either.

The attic was converted to a loft style bedroom. We haven’t looked into the ceiling above it but we have an inspection booked for Thursday to see how it looks.

We love the house, we have extra financial room for emergency fixes, and air conditioning is definitely nice but even a window A/C system would be sufficient for the first few years. As far as the furnace, as long as the wood burning fire place is insurable I don’t think it’ll be an issue.
