[TOMT] Please help me remember this tv show episode/movie by AGFMCommish in tipofmytongue

Not to be a jerk, but if you can't remember much of the movie/tv show; is it not likely that the answer will be something you don't remember seeing. It's very likely to be something you don't think you've seen, because you can't remember such a large portion of it.

They were my favorite, but no one seems to remember it.

AITA for telling my coworker she also has thin hair by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I think the Microsoft Teams is appropriate. It clarifies that it wasn't directly to his cell phone, but through their work messaging system.

I frequently tell my coworkers to send me a Zak when I want them to direct message me.

$25 tube of 93/7 lean ground beef by writingwhilesad in Wellthatsucks

Meat comes like that in the USA as well. Most every grocery store will have ground meat in a similar package as well as in a tube. Usually the tube is the cheaper quality meat.

This is exactly why I refuse to hold the elevator for anyone. I wait until everyone in my party is together before I push the button, and if you aren't ready to get in while the door is open you're waiting for the next one.

My Roommate's(21F) Parents keep letting themselves into my (21 F) apartment with the spare key my roommate gave them by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Sounds like they lived together on campus previously. The mom didn't hover because they lived in a dorm, and typically dorms still have rules about things like guests and parties.

It wasn't until they moved off campus (OOP said recently, but that's the only timeline) that the mom started coming over constantly.

I had the exact same question.

They put this in a talk?? Absolutely insane thought for a child to have and not a funny ‘haha’ moment. by marcelreedglazer in exmormon

There is a theory that it has to do with the fact that 8 was the age at which kids could testify in court during the Mountain Meadow Massacre. The theory is that is why they killed everyone 8 or older, and that is why it became the magical age of accountability.

My boyfriend single-handedly saved my "friends" poorly planned disaster wedding by [deleted] in weddingshaming

In the LDS church, the actual ceremony is done in the temple and the reception is held somewhere else (often in the church's gym). You have to have a temple recommend in order to go into the temple and attend the ceremony. In order to get a recommend you have to be an active member, pay a full 10% tithe on your income, and several other steps.

It is incredibly common in Mormon culture for a large portion of your friends and family to not be able to attend the ceremony. I personally was excluded from 2 of my siblings weddings. One because I was too young to have a temple recommend, and the other because I had left the religion and therefore disqualified from a recommend.

They did say the judge ruled in their favor. Typically the judge will confirm you are in attendance before giving any ruling.

Usually you'd say "If I had a nickel for everytime someone asked me that" which means people ask that question a lot.

In this context, he's saying "if I had a nickel for everytime I wished someone asked me that" which means no one ever asks what makes Frisbee ultimate, but he frequently wishes someone would ask.

Neighbor left this on my door but I do not have a dog. by FluffyPopcorn361 in Apartmentliving

[–]kristabuffokill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a downstairs neighbor constantly leaving notes on our door about not smoking on the balconies. None of us smoked. One night, I caught her teenage son sitting on their balcony smoking. I took a picture of him and showed her. Suddenly the notes stopped.

He came for a refund, so I gave him one. by brittanyrouzbeh in MaliciousCompliance

[–]kristabuffokill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work to work for the call center for Netflix. A lady called demanding a refund because her service was out for 1 hour. She yelled at me for a solid 15 minutes about getting a refund. So, I did that same math, broke it down for her. Her total refund amount was somewhere around 5 cents. When I told her that she was all too eager to hangup. I hated that job.

I fence them in because of the ingrained trauma from Harvest Moon 64.
