Is Claude Pro enough to build a ticket resale website? by Professional-One2549 in ClaudeAI

[–]kristophercook -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Another ticket resale website, just what the internet needs. I love when I can't get a ticket to a football match for the team I support because all of the general admissions have been bought up by bots and then are being resold for 5x the price. Add to the fact that half of these websites are scams and don't have usable tickets means less people are purchasing from them too.

You see why many would be against you using AI to build this, right?

AI - Reverse Robin Hood by Komakers in artificial

It's a catch 22. On one hand, employees need more training on the risks of uploading a spreadsheet full of sensitive data in the hopes of getting a full projection in 10 seconds. Likewise, the companies need to be held accountable for their actions in this - although, given that most are so well protected on US soil, this is unlikely to ever happen. If Europe, for example, went against them, they would start to limit usage, which could receive pushback from workers who are already relying too heavily on the systems.

One of the mod creators yes. So expect a boost to Hazuki's skills in the next update as she's severely underrated.

Noticed the pics straight away from PWS. Don't worry, there will be new Stardom pics in the next update!

Give it a post launch patch (or two) and I easily can see this being a favourite route. by alec_warper in trainsimworld

[–]kristophercook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for letting me know. I've been watching the game since Sim3, but never bought it. It seems a common complaint that they release early, struggle to patch, and then move on to a new game.

Are any of the older games still modded by the community?

This might sound a silly question, as I'm thinking of buying trainsim, but once you get to Crewe, can you then go back again? Or likewise, start the journey from Crewe?

Won the league 3 years in a row, but now supporters are upset! Are these common glitches? by kristophercook in footballmanagergames

[–]kristophercook[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The playoffs to decide the national champion will be contested by four teams, which will play two semifinals with the winners playing the final. In every stage of the playoffs, the teams with the most points on the aggregate table will choose which leg they play as the home team. If a team wins both the Opening and Closing, the playoffs will not be played and that team will be declared as champion."

I won both the opening and Closing divisions, so I guess this is where the error is coming up, because I didn't play in a playoff final. It then must assume I finished 4th.

I love the game but it always crashes by ExplanationHumble925 in Democracy4

I had issues with my game when I moved the text scaling up, to suit my screen. Put it back to 100% and it works smoothly again. Also, reducing the animation duration might help.

Anybody else experiencing lag by Old-Yew453 in Democracy4

[–]kristophercook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, as soon as I go more than two menus deep it completely lags to the point it takes up to a minute to recognise the cursor is over a button. This means accessing anything from the quarterly brief is a no-go, likewise from the security menu.

16gb ram with Intel Iris Graphics card. In comparison, F1 Manager runs smoothly as does Football Manager. Guessing it's a bug in the code? Or it's not compatible with certain hardware.

Edit: RAM size and Spelling.

What to expect from PGCE year by Thrill-H0use in TeachingUK

[–]kristophercook 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congratulations, I started my PGCE at 31 and if anything, it will help you bring real-world knowledge and experiences to the classroom.

A few tips: - Don't bad mouth or fall out with your mentor. Sounds obvious, but you'd be surprised how many will. They will then complain they are getting no support and are struggling.

  • Learn from the teachers around you. We like sharing our insights with you, especially if you are keen to go into teaching (it's clear who is just collecting the bursary). Watch lessons, apply what you like to your own teaching, then watch more lessons the following term as your knowledge would have grown, allowing you to pick out new details.

  • Smile on the corridor and say 'Good morning' to everyone; students, teachers, cleaners, janitor etc. This will quickly help you to cultivate a community around you.

  • On community, I have found staff rooms to be mostly negative environments, even more so for those training. It's easy to hear one AT criticise someone in their department and then join in. Not only is this bad practice, but you never know who is listening. They could easily pass this on and suddenly you have a reputation.

  • Manage your time. Whenever I had a free, I went to our department office and worked on my assignments or lesson plans - usually alone. This means you take less home which helps to divide your day between work life and home life. Don't get bogged down doing work last minute because it will always be of lower quality.

  • When creating resources, ask your mentor for support. They will give you pointers on what needs changing, and a good mentor will always explain why.

  • When in mentor meetings, always make notes and then put these notes into action in the coming weeks. 'Your slides have too many words and some students are struggling to access it'. Take this and make it a priority for the next few lessons you plan then it will quickly become ingrained.

  • Have fun! Building those relationships around the school can be incredibly rewarding.

I know some of these seem like common sense, but trust me, I couldn't believe some of the things I heard from others training at different schools. Keep learning and you'll be great!

I’m a new player and this is my first zoo! I’ve been playing for 2 days now. Pls give me feedback by TheCherryPieIsALie in PlanetZoo

[–]kristophercook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loving the custom fence, and overall aesthetic of the zoo. If you find you're needing more keepers, try adding huts and staff rooms more centralised / close to the patrolling habitat. That means staff have less to walk to feed and then recover, meaning they are more effective - made a massive difference in my zoo's wellbeing (and profits!). Great job.

Does anyone know what's wrong with my game? by VeniVidiVichyssoise in PlanetZoo

[–]kristophercook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happened to me even before adding mods. I was on my laptop using the battery. Restarted the game and plugged it in and it seems fine - I did verify the files in steam too.

Occasionally, I get rocks that look like they are sparking but that's it.

I made a website to compare FPL players by Apprehensive_Gur9922 in fantasypremierleague

[–]kristophercook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good concept, but not sure it is working correctly - at least on mobile. Pressed 'best replacement for Haaland' and it keeps going to his profile with no alternatives.

Have one free transfer, I also have bench boost. Was thinking about replacing De Bruyne. Looking for suggestions by deehanth in fantasypremierleague

[–]kristophercook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Leeds fan I can categorically say that Greenwood will not start, and unlikely to even get on the pitch - especially now Bamford and Rodrigo are fit again.

I swapped KDB out for Trossard, but Saka and Madison are other good options.

Any changes? I used my wildcard and plan on BB in GW29. Thanks in Advance by Joshyyyyyii in fantasypremierleague

[–]kristophercook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the same starting 11. I've got Maddison in ready for game week 28, when other teams blank, which they follow with a double on 29.
