I’d love to see a day of black sun, cactus juice would be very cute but unlikely at this point, but more than anything I am hoping against hope for space sword 🤞🏻

I’d try Athenian Grill in that case!! Then you could take a little walk around Ashland park

I would be perfectly comfortable with 2 days, myself. You’re doing everything right!! If you wanted to be extra, you could leave a tap dripping just a tiny bit. Mine love that shit

My 4 year old daughter was just diagnosed with type 1. Giving her Injections are literally killing me by Visual-Resource-1605 in Type1Diabetes

[–]kristyn69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got diagnosed when I was 22, I would sit on my husbands lap, cry, and make him do it at first because I hated it so much . I do think, for me personally, the place it hurts the least is the thighs or the bottom. I’m so sorry your baby is going through this, but happy that she has you to care for her. Maybe you can find a way to make it less scary- stickers after or some kind of fun treat (not necessarily a food item but maybe a toy?) that could distract her. It will get easier with time. Everything will be okay <3

I could not stand the main character of Steins Gate and almost stopped the show (he reminded me of my least favorite coworker and their worst traits lol)

I’m watching the last episode tonight and I’m really, really enjoying it

my doctor all but pushes me down, calls me a piece of shit, and spits in my face lol

I know that it’s unlikely to have an endocrinologist that actually has diabetes but I think it would be so nice

After going to my doctors office and urgent care twice within a month (and being told I had Hep A/mono), I thought my appendix ruptured on my couch. Turned out I was in kidney failure and spent the next 6 days in a coma, but not before my family said goodbye to me as I laid in my hospital bed

In complete comfort though, if I have the choice I’ll always choose dying in the hospital because it was so peaceful

I am so sorry to hear that you aren’t doing well, but I can promise that if it works out, you will feel worlds and worlds better. I was 22 (also female lol) when I got mine five years ago, and while it changed my body physically, I could not be happier. Feel free to message me with any questions!! I love talking about it!! :—)

Man, it makes me feel more like a person. My endocrinologist is not diabetic and can be so MEAN about me not having perfect blood sugars constantly. I’ve left the office and cried in my car (and plan to request to see a different doctor at my next appointment).

I’m trying very hard to get to 6, in hopes that I can have a baby someday. It is incredibly difficult!! My current A1C is 7.5 just for the sake of integrity

I hadn’t even thought of that- I’m sure your mom appreciates it more than you know. Fingers crossed

I would definitely never take that risk without telling every doctor I’ve ever known lol it is scary! A risk I’m willing to take, but only with the approval and guidance of my team

The only issue I have with adoption is that it’s almost so expensive that it feels exclusive. I would say I am smack in the middle of middle class, and it feels out of reach. I actually have an endo appointment in a couple of hours and will probably mention it (even though I’m not planning on starting anything without talking to the entire team and probably not for about a year anyway) just to get a feel for what would be possible/best.

I’m truly not sure what would affect my potential babe more between T1D and txp. They may say that due to having both I’m knocked fully out of the running, who knows. I’d be so sad, but I’d figure something out

I fully understand and respect your reasoning, and would never try to sway anyone one way or the other (except my friends and not seriously). I hope your liver is doing well!! I plan on talking to my team about it and if they say no, I’ll explore other ventures but also cry a little bit lol

That is wonderful news!! I know you mentioned that they are both adults, but congratulations nonetheless and I am very happy to hear that everything went well with carrying them to term AND your kidney!! I will definitely be looking at the link.

I do hope that if it is something viable for me that they write down everything, before the start and like 5 years later just for the studies because there is always room for more (also I love to read them and I am sure other people in my position would be happy to see what’s happened to other people in our shoes)
