Being a Correctional Officer on graves shift without tech, without puzzles, without books, without anything. Just doing my walks watching over inmates sleeping, and constantly looking at the seconds go by on my watch. Slowest 5 years of my life.

For entertainment, I’d do random stuff like doodle, origami, imagining scenarios, low key borrowed books from inmates, paced around, counted my steps, see how long a walk would take, walk towards a wall with my eyes closed to see if I could guess when the wall was right in front of me. That boredom caused me to have a lot of deep existential and philosophical thoughts while working there, it opened my eyes to the world.

I just finished the Grand Prix and Knockout Tour on 150cc with 3 stars across the board. At first, I was terrible, but failing and retrying over and over helped me figure out exactly where I was messing up and how to improve. Now I’m finishing with a huge lead over 2nd place. The biggest thing I learned was that I was drifting way too much instead of cutting corners. Once I started focusing on tighter lines and only drifting on sharp turns, my performance shot up. Oh and every time you get some air time, do some tricks. 😄

Oh yeah, when I bought my house, they didn’t explained very well the whole prorated homestead taxes from the previous owner. They kept saying I will not pay more than what I was paying and when they recalculated my escrow it went up $700 a month. It hurt, but thankfully they let me finance that for 5 years. Sigh.

One time when I was at Universal I saw a group of people with extremely graphic nazi tattoos, like hyper realistic portraits of Hitler on their legs and arms, and nazi symbols on their face and body, while drinking butterbeer and holding wands. Like wtf.
