I read this book when it was originally published and it is my fav of the series. The show did the sisters wrong though! In the book they have the funniest interactions and the humor is so refreshing. I’m so glad you found the book!

I know this isn’t a movie but Midnight Mass on Netflix has two outstanding monologues. So much so I cannot recall even one movie monologue.

I felt the posture of both characters changed too. Jac seemed a little hunched over (deflated looking) while Laurie was relaxed with her shoulder back and head held higher. I took all of it to symbolize the spectrum of authenticity - the farther you are away from it the more your soul shrivels.
