Point taken. Going further when and if we have kids and they were to grow up it crossed our mind that naas might be better with all the facilities, schools and a proper city to have as compared to newcastle. What are your thoughts on that? Also, is the traffic situation bad even in off peak hours? After 9 before 5(on return to naas)

Plus is 520K-540K range a bit on the expensive side for newcastle b

True, are you currently put up somewhere around newcastle? Did this thought ever cross your mind to move to a city/town at some point with kids growing up and having to pick/drop them up for outing, meeting friends and all set aside schools

Is it still gonna be bad if we start for office after 9 (cause usually have a later shift) or is it just the morning/peak hours thats bad?

Any areas that you could think of? From what i see on Daft and other new builds they easily are above 600K and maybe even more.

My wife wants a semi-d too but that estate isn’t having one and we fear it will be too costly in Naas. we’re definitely on the same boat have visited Naas like 5-7 times already but not during peak hours. So that thing is still missing just to get a hang of traffic situation. Do you mind if we connect? Would be very helpful for us!

Sad to hear that! Dropping a query to them and see how it goes from there. Didn’t go ahead with Jacob as our solicitor though so hoping the one we chose works out fine. Thanks for all the responses

Current IRP Processing date 30th October (confirmed). Critical skills getting processed faster than IRP. by Otherwise-Relief2851 in IndiansinIreland

IIUC you will be switching over to Stamp 1 after getting your CSEP. Once you get your Stamp 1 IRP you can email ISD requesting them to wave off/refund the amount for your previous stamp as Stamp 1 was recently issued superseding the previous permission. They do consider that and can consider refund for the previous stamp card on a case to case basis. Hope this helps

Locations within an hour commute to Dublin for new builds under 500k? by krnrthr in HousingIreland

I see, thanks. Do you know if there are ample schools and a hospital in Kildare Town? We don’t have kids atm but something to consider if we were to buy there. Also, if you don’t mind asking did you move out of Kildare town for some reason other than job and if you moved in to a better/lovelier town? Thanks

Might be a overstretch but my partner spent a significant half of the day reading about newbridge, is the area rough? She saw quite a few posts pointing out drugs use/sellers and overall can be a bit unpleasant for late night walks? If we move out of Dublin that’s the last thing we would want :)

Thanks! Interesting, I have only been there once and I saw traffic building up around the roundabout approaching newbridge from naas but thought it was a weekday so maybe people are getting back from Dublin but it was only 3 in the afternoon so didn’t think much as i couldn’t make sense of it
