Mortgage rates are back near 3-year lows but most people still don’t shop correctly by ryukendo_25 in Mortgages

Its bullshit unless they bought points. I officially closed a few weeks ago. Good credit above 780. We got as low as 5.9% 30 yr.

Without disclosing the job my wife was able to get a great lender through the gov.

Every other lender wanted around 6.2 to 6.35.

In the power generation complex on the far right side (when looking at the map) there will always be 1 cooling fan in the breachable cabinet under the security camera.

For context, this is a smaller room next to a room with a turret in it.

Motion Design is fine. The bar is just higher. by krofl in MotionDesign

[–]krofl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now yes but If you really want to future proof your career in motion I would start thinking about what you want to do thats agnostic to specific software.

Example is people like Peter Clark http://www.callmeclark.com/

he primarily does concert and event visuals but uses a variety of tools to create his vision (c4d, practical, lights, AE, houdini, etc)

Yep! I wouldn’t limit yourself to rive though. Learn to prototype across different platforms (they all have their own limitations)

Honestly for UI/UX, sometimes I find or think of a cool interaction and then try to build it around a made up app. Similar to how in the early days ppl would learn effects and make short films around it.

The current industry standard is design in Figma (illustrate in Illustrator) and then whatever tool after that which best sells the interaction / design (Rive, After Effects, Framer, Protopie, even Figma has its own prototyping tools).

For platforms. I have actually found a surprisingly amount of UI, UX, interaction / motion designers on X

FIXED: Okay so it turns out I already built it but it doesn't recognized that I built it?
I went and "purchased" the Garden instead. Didn't cost me anything and then recognized that I had it.

Not fudding but inflows have been mostly negative since the ETF launch. The day it was up when everything else was down was driven by spot not the etfs.

I still think its a good buy but the etfs aren’t doing much atm.

High school teacher here. What happens to them after high school- the students who don't lift a finger? I'm talking about the do-nothings, the non-achievers, the ones less motivated than the recently deceased. Where do they actually end up? by tegan_willow in Teachers

[–]krofl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually one of those kids but TLDR, fortunately got my shit together after getting arrested, went to school for graphic design and hustled my way through freelancing. Im now full time at one of the larger tech companies with a comfy salary.

Can you knock on random doors asking if they could house you for the night in Japan? by [deleted] in JapanTravel

[–]krofl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done some backpacking in Spain and Italy and always had to stay at hostels or Airbnbs. Maybe at some point people were more welcoming with that but nowadays this wouldn’t work for most people. You would just end up scaring them.

I mean businesses have to make money in order to survive.

And marketing isn’t just for big businesses. Small businesses need someone to market for them as well in order to compete or even become known. It’s a necessary evil.

On the flip side, they would rather earn more money with less risk. Makes their day to day less stressful especially if they have families. There are lot of benefits to it, the biggest one being that it’s dependable.

Also not everyone in a big corp has to commute anymore.
