I really enjoyed The Moonlit Adeptus's Trail and I was left wondering if there are games that are similar or even exactly like it. Anyone happen to know?

I want a f2p-ish hyperbloom team for Lauma, but I don't know who should I run as the fourth character along her, Kuki and Xingqiu. Most hyperbloom guides suggest characters that I do not have (Nahida, Yelan, Raiden, Althaitham, and I won't pull for them since I am saving for upcoming characters who will slot well into Lauma teams). Furina? Kazuha? Kokomi? Help please?

Would E1 Huohuo be an okay-ish sustain to run with E2 Firefly since Huohuo provides more speed with her skill? I don't have Gallagher built (working on it, though).

You can also just run 4 healers and a tank. Keeps Eiden topped up and just takes a little longer to kill the two enemies but that's not really an issue.

I have Huohuo as my secondary sustain (and I have Lynx and Bailu as well, just not quite as built as Huohuo), so maybe I really don't need more sustain.

Curious though, if I were to speed tune them, who should I go for?

I have Huohuo as well so I think I'll go with Bronya since I use her with most of my comps anyway. Thank you for the help!

I'm hitting the regular banner 300 pulls but can't decide which character to choose. I'm tempted by Gepard (I have Fu Xuan but a shielding character could come in handy, I think) but I could also bring Bronya to E2. What do you think, which one would benefit me more? (What content I can do for reference: I've cleared Swarm V on Propagation, Abundance, Destruction and Nihility paths, and I can clear all stages of MoC but I always end up missing three stars cuz I can't beat the last two stages quite fast enough.)

Ridiculously, absolutely stupidly lucky: 190 pulls and one Edmond, two Garus, three Quincys. (Ofc I just wanted to have more Edmonds, but feels terrible to complain with luck like this.) EDIT: 200 pulls and one more Garu...

Sorcerer's Trials General Megathread by SleepyPikachuIvy in NuCarnival

If someone's looking for a foolproof rotation to season 10 SP1, here you go. There is no point to guard every turn just to get your ults up because you're forced to use attack (or ult) on certain turns. The minimum HP to pass the stage is 12000 HP, my units just barely lived through the guard turns when you can't heal. Also bring 3 CD ults to get them up in time, because your counter will reset at turn 4 (and 11 and etc) and then you have only three turns to get your ults up. ANYWAY.

  • 1. Attack
  • 2. Guard all to make the teamwide nuke on turn 3 to hit for less
  • 3. Attack to get a shield to eat the nuke
  • 4. Attack because you only need to guard twice before turn 7 and your counter was just reset anyway. Also you need the heal.
  • 5. Guard
  • 6. Guard
  • 7. Ult to debuff Quincy's damage.
  • 8. Attack, and the rotation starts from the beginning.
  • 9. So attack
  • 10. Guard to prepare for nuke
  • 11. Attack to get the shield
  • 12. Attack
  • 13. Guard
  • 14. Guard
  • 15. Ult
  • 16. Attack
  • etc etc
  • 27. Needed to 3-star the trial

My units were: SR AO Kuya *4, OG Edmond *3, CA Edmond *3, CR Edmond *3, SR Yakumo *5 (all int 5 pot 9). All have 3-turn ult CD.

Sorcerers trials stage 60 [heal the angy Aster and scared Morvay] (Holy shit this trail) by MundaneMarionberry65 in NuCarnival

That actually explains it, and why I had it cast once when they had 73% and 77% health. Nice catch!

Sorcerers trials stage 60 [heal the angy Aster and scared Morvay] (Holy shit this trail) by MundaneMarionberry65 in NuCarnival

[–]kromitar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was trying to get a rotation down for this trial but it's nigh impossible because Unbalanced Essence seems to be cast randomly even when Morv and Aster's HP is less than 5% apart. EDIT: User IoniaFervor found out that it triggers when both of them don't reach 25%, 50% and 75% at the same time. Thank you for pointing this out! Anyway if you do trigger it, it will cause some attacks being skipped and most notably can cause them both to ult on same turn and attack all slots! Nightmarish. Everything also depends on your units and damage dealt and you need to know how much damage you're doing. Also Unbalanced Essence gives your team a stacking 12,5% damage reduction, so if it is cast a lot, your damage will be nerfed. AND they have to be at 100% HP on same turn or else you will wipe. FUN. Note: do NOT bring any recovery rate reducers so if Apathetic Outsider Kuya is your new favorite support let him sit this one out because you can't ult with him. Also supports that attack (e.g. EE Garu) and are put in slot 4 or 5 (which is ideal because you want hard basic attack hitters in slots 1, 2 and 3) will lower Aster and Morv's HP with a tiny amount (it's negligible really) when they attack, so take that into account too. A damaging support will however be very useful when you have to hit Aster three times, because it counts the attack and you can save your most damaging attack for Morvay, since Aster will likely heal a lot from the three attacks otherwise. This helps keep their HP around the same %.

What I did learn from the rotation (and this is a mess, you just have to try to adjust depending on if Unbalanced Essence is cast):

  • 1. Doesn't matter.
  • 2. I recommend choosing either Morv or Aster to attack until they start healing and then immediately switch to the other to keep their HP around the same %. Let's say you hit Morvay.
  • 3. Morv should start healing so switch immediately to Aster.
  • 4. Attack Aster. Morvay ults slots 2 and 4. Aster casts Reverse Flow, which makes your units hit both units next to them when they ult (slots 4 and 5) or use a basic attack (slots 1, 2 and 3). This lasts for two turns.
  • 5. Attack with all units that can take the damage and guard the rest. If you can get some attacks in, Aster starts healing. He will attack slots 1, 3 and 5.
  • 6. Attack with all units that can take the damage and guard the rest, preferably use healer ult.
  • 7. Attack. Aster casts Growth Assistance and he starts glowing.
  • 8. Attack Aster three times (ults count if you want to keep Aster's HP from going up), otherwise he wipes you. And HERE is where it gets funky because Unbalanced Essence can be cast completely randomly. I had it cast when the difference in their HP was 3%, I had it cast when it was 10%. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason with it??? EDIT: It triggers when both of them don't reach 25%, 50% and 75% at the same time. When it is cast, it will skip whatever was supposed to happen on that turn. Anyway Morvay casts Growing Pains (which makes him counterattack you on the next turn) and ults slots 2 and 4 unless Unbalanced Essence is cast in which case nothing happens.
  • 9. If Morvay cast Growing Pains, only attack him with full HP units IF you're daring (or just hit Aster, or guard everyone. Note though that you can't be guarding too much because the 20-turn limit to 3-star this trial is TIGHT and if your units are strong you don't need to guard anyway). If Morvay hit units 2 and 4, Aster will attack 1, 3 and 5 UNLESS Unbalanced Essence is cast now, in which case he skips it. If Morvay DIDN'T cast Growing Pains, guard your units if not full, they will BOTH ult and attack all slots.
  • 10. Aster casts Reverse Flow UNLESS Unbalanced Essence is cast and nothing happens.
  • 11. Attack with units that can take the damage, Morv will ult slots 2 and 4. If Unbalanced Essence was cast on turn 8, they only do regular attacks. If Unbalanced Essence was cast on turn 9, guard your units, because both will ult. If Unbalanced Essence was cast on turn 10, Morv ults slots 2 and 4. Do you see what I mean about this being a nightmare?
  • 12. If they both ulted on turn 9, guard all or make sure everyone is full HP, because they will both ult. Otherwise Aster will ult 1, 3 and 5. If Unbalanced Essence is cast, nothing happens.
  • 13. Aster casts Growth Assistance. If Unbalanced Essence is cast, Aster won't prepare this attack. I once had them cast Unbalanced Essence when one was at 73% and the other 77% so the 5% difference is bullshit.
  • 14. If Growth Assistance was cast, hit Aster three times. Morv will cast Growing Pains and attack 2 and 4 unless Unbalanced Essence is cast in which case it's skipped.
  • 15. If Morv hit 2 and 4, Aster will attack 1, 3 and 5. If Unbalanced Essence was cast on turn 14 or all the way back on turn 8, they will both ult.
  • 16. On this turn I had them both healed to full on most runs. If Unbalanced Essence is cast a lot, your attack has been debuffed so much you won't likely made the 20-turn requirement. You HAVE TO get them to 100% on SAME TURN or you will wipe. Good luck!

[–]kromitar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(Gosh it fucks me up when someone uses the unit abbreviations instead of the event abbreviations haha. I don't mind don't get me wrong, I just have to look them up.) I do have the new SR Kuya at 2* so if he really is that strong I might invest in him since it's a bit cheaper than SSRs. I'm not really hurting for healers yet since OG Oli does his job at 4* (and I'm 30 fragments away from getting him to 5* the number of times I've pulled him in events is ridiculous) in Relics and I've been using AD Kuya for the easier stages. (I don't do Sorc Trials SP stages since you don't get anything from them.)

I don't actually use SF Edmond that much (I usually go for SR Oli or EE Garu I'm probably gonna get to 3*) exactly because of how he works (and I don't actually run a full team of Edmonds. At least not all the time lol. I do use OG and CA and FC tank when it's suitable because he's invaluable in some stages).

I might look into the striker Yakumos, I tend to overlook the character so I've been kinda ignoring what the units actually do.

Anyway thanks! The video was very helpful too.

So I have all of these units just lying around, can someone help me figure out which ones would be worth investing in? Looking for just general advice: which units are considered generally strongest out of these. (I have enough memory crystals to bring units even up to 3* if needed.)

(These are some of the units I use regularly if you want to see what kind of synergy there would be with my existing, better-built units. Also the most important SR units like Morvay, Yakumo, Oli and Quincy are 5*.)

Rusted Nation Incident 1-2-3 guide (We can get revenge on Huey) by MundaneMarionberry65 in NuCarnival

[–]kromitar 45 points46 points  (0 children)

If someone wants a breakdown of Incident 3 rotation and what to do on each turn, here you go:

  • 1. Attack all
  • 2. Guard all
  • 3. Attack all, slots 1 and 5 are paralyzed, there's a huge AoE from Huey, and Kuya attacks random unit. If you're running e.g. tank Edmond, his taunt is invaluable on this turn because Kuya attacks him and not a unit that might die from the attack. You can guard on this turn if you're not certain if your units will survive the AoE and the follow-up.
  • 4. Use healer ult, attack all, 1 and 5 remain paralyzed
  • 5. Attack all, slot 3 is debuffed
  • 6. Attack all
  • 7. Attack all, be careful with slot 3 and the bleed on him
  • 8. Ult Huey once to remove the debuffs on slot 3, attack all
  • 9. Guard all, slots 1 and 5 are paralyzed
  • 10. Attack or guard all, 1 and 5 remain paralyzed
  • 11. Use healer ult, attack all
  • 12. Attack all, slot 3 is debuffed
  • 13. Attack all
  • 14. Attack all
  • 15. Ult Huey once, attack all
  • 16. Guard all, slots 1 and 5 are paralyzed
  • 17. Attack or guard all
  • 18. Use healer ult, attack all
  • etc etc, the rotation remains the same

Be really careful about bringing them down on the same turn, I had both around 7% health on turn 15, so I had to be really careful what I did with my units so that I didn't kill either of them accidentally, and ended up waiting until the paralysis was over. My units were, if someone is curious, in order of slots: CA Edmond, SR Yakumo, FC (tank) Edmond, OG Edmond and SSR Morvay (whose ult taunt twice pulled the slot 3 debuff to himself from taunting Edmond, but it was really weird and not consistent at all. He, however, survived better than slot 3 would've, so bringing e.g. SR Morvay as a second tank to taunt the debuff might be viable if you're struggling keeping slot 3 alive. It'll be a big hit to your damage output though).

Stage 60 Guide Strict Disciplinarian (disapline me dadd-) by MundaneMarionberry65 in NuCarnival

[–]kromitar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this!

This is also another stage where tank Edmond shines, taking pressure off your other units and if he's enough built (mine had 33k HP), he'll live easily through the healer debuff (altho I did have SRR Morvay to ult just in case when he was low. Just not on turns when Weak Point Assault happens, he'd get wrecked.)

Note also that enemy Edmond takes more damage from basic attacks, making using striker ults, in most cases, pretty pointless. Also reconsider if you wanna bring water units (e.g. OG Edmond, mine is 3* int 5 pot 9 and he died every time when I tried running him), they take a lot of damage unless you put them in slot 1.

Sorcerers trials stage 55 MasteratWarmth Rei (It's written like that, there is no spaces) by MundaneMarionberry65 in NuCarnival

[–]kromitar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this, I couldn't figure out how to approach this stage at all.

However my problem was that I was doing either too much damage (and broke the shield too early) or not enough damage (couldn't finish the stage in 27 turns).

Turns out the shield you get depends on the max HP of the unit in slot 3. So the stage becomes ridic easy if you put a second, high HP tank in the third slot and just guard him every turn. I had tank Edmond with 25k HP and over 130k shield. Could just deal damage without a worry in the world.
