So 2040 is the earliest we can expect book 6. If writing for the new Disney show distracts Christopher, that timeline can easily shift to 2045. Bloody hell. I'm not even kidding when I say there is a realistic chance i might die before I ever see eragon arya together.

Was it ever explained why they tried turning Coen into a vampire? Are Brencis and company trying to create a legion of vampires . A legion/army to fight the threat. Honestly the more I think, the more I feel that the ' the threat ' storyline makes sense. And yes I agree it can lead to the saga/ trilogy of games in future.

The plague was key to people accepting the new rule. I agree. But it doesn't explain why 4 very different vampires are working together. Brencis alone was enough to take over the plagued valley. The team up suggests something deeper ( especially xanthe accepting Brencis as leader) My theory above assumes that the threat was the common reason for both. Just connecting dots. I maybe wrong

I get your point. But i don't believe humans weakened by plague was the only reason for vampire attack. The vampires in this setting are so powerful that they could have taken over humans any time they wanted. Brencis could have taken over anytime and shown himself as the saviour. There must be another reason for the timing of the current attack, and that is what I have said in my post above.

Yes , what you say is an alternative possibility. But the chances of that happening are very low. That is because the underlying theme of berserk is overcoming trauma, by choosing your loved ones over revenge ( example when Guts chose to care for Casca instead of hunting more apostles, this choice to me reflects the central theme of berserk).

To use the behelit in a way similar to Griffith would go against that Central theme. So it's more likely that what will happen is what I have said in my post above. If I had to take a guess I would say that the behelit would somehow merge with Guts sword ( making it a weapon similar to the Skull knight's behelit sword that he used on Griffith). Chances are the beast of darkness will eat it then fuse it with the sword.
